    WAR that's the game

    Hello Gents

I used to play regular scrims/competions here in the UK most recently being in CoD2.

Any chance my USA cousins can set up a CoD4 round robin type comp say 4 teams of 5 to play each other.
Each round all play the same map with the maps changing for all as you progress to the next round.

So that would be 6 games total in round 1 with 4 teams. [each team plays 3 times]
Then 3 highest points go forward.
That would mean 3 games total in round 2 with 3 teams. [each team plays 2 times]
Then 2 highest points go forward into the final winners to get some sort of RIBBON etc as a reward.............. maybe?

Of course to allow me to play the time shift would have to be managed otherwise I may fall a sleep while on duty!

If this would be a bit too big to make happen how about just 2 teams but doing it as it should be done either server 1 or 2 would suit.

I'm becomming a little de-energised with the same same night after night.

Are you ready for this??? ----- then let's do it.

    Git 'er dun

    Re: WAR that's the game

I see lot of eyes on this.
You have a call out from a community member for something more than the randomness on the servers.
But no one wants to pony up?
    Weak.

I will be the first to sign up.

Since this is your baby Barnaby. How would you like to proceed?
A US/SAS vs Spetnatz/OpFor type of scrims. If you are familiar with ETO for CoD2 people would play on map for a province or country for victory points.

More than likely everyone who fully participates will be nominated for the Inner TG ribbon.
But I am sure that something can be whipped up for the winners to put on their avatar or signature.

    Post Script..
Please don't ever use Get R done in a post again...you are not from the middle of backwater USA.
Jolly Good or something to that effect would be better than Get er done.... Come on Man!

As long as the west coast players can make it.. I'm all for it. i've had problems in the past with scheduling Euro and West Coast USA players before... the 8 hour time difference makes it hard... especially on weekdays.

well, now looking back on it... I'm not sure if I'd be able to be here.

What times are we talking about Central time?

    Whizo Amu simply spiffin.
I was rather hoping there was some internal TG template already in place that took the team names and spat them out in some form of competition.
I know from personal experience that it needs some one to push, encourage & remind all named troopers when to play or these matches just fail.

Whilst I'd be happy to commit to playing I don't have the spare capacity to make this happen so count on me to play if it happens but don't count on me to MAKE it happen.

Looks like there wouldn't be enough for even one team.

    Oh Glum

Looks like the time thing is the killer.

    Re: WAR that's the game

I would imagine the IHS's could field a few teams themselves, and the leftovers would follow.

People just need to promote it on the TG servers, by either word of mouth, or put a console message on the servers to create interest.

it's not just gonna happen... you have to build a foundation first.

    Nope no template.
These things are hand crafted with Bavarian Hops and some rare yeasts and left to ferment for a couple of weeks.

We can always do a 2v2 1 round.. Round Robin.
Winner gets some toast and preserved Apricots!

I will sit down and draw something up.
More than likely these events will take place throughout the week and on Weekends. With the weekend times especially for teams sporting players outside of the Americas.

Would this be a indirect reference to your now pronunciation friendly name?
