Re: 5v5 tourneyment??

Its doable but you need a couple of things to pull it off.

1) A tournament director (Snake Doc?) - there's probably a Volunteer pin for this job if it goes well IMO

2) a team sign-up "sheet"

3) a minimum of four teams

I made a mistake when I allowed teams to carry to many players on their rosters and delayed the start of the matches waiting on the mod to kick in. Teams should carry no more than 1 or 2 alternates so it makes it easier to field more teams. In a round robin tourney, each team plays every other team for seeding and then its a NCAA style sweet 16 from there.

Squad leaders are the tourney liaisons and are responsible for making sure their teams are available come game day and represent their squads interests in the forums(screen shots, practice schedules, trash squakin', etc.) You can ask for volunteers or the teams can decide on their own leadership after the teams are selected.

Re: 5v5 tourneyment??

I'd love a 5v5 tourney. Currently I can only do CoD4. I know the last time it was tried, it was pretty hard to get into a team, because of in-house clan alliegances and stuff. I'd even be interested in fielding my own team to help the non-SM players get involved. We'd be even filthier than the Irregulars, so I guess you'd call us TG-Conscripts
