time increase for cod connecting

I'm sure I have read this somewhere but I cannot find it now.

I seem to only be allowing 10 secs before time out shows try again to log in.

I have added the line cl_connectionAttemps 60 but when I hit console it shows:-
cl_connectionAttemps 10
and
connectionAttemps 60
Should the 60 also have cl_ in front and if so what have I left out is it / or setta or something else when I was keying it in.
It seems odd that I have both showing

Your help appreciated.

Re: time increase for cod connecting

No idea Barnaby but a guess would be this: did you add the line cl_connectionAttemps 60 but not remove the other line? I would think that if you simply edited the first bit of code from 10 to 60 and then saved it (backing up the original of course) it would work.

I need to do this as I had lots of trouble connecting this weekend.

Re: time increase for cod connecting

From another site I visit I believe the correct way to input is like this>>>
seta cl_connectionAttemps 60
That should keep it in place for every time you log in, I also think it updates the previous 10 figure to be now 60. QED ;¬)

Thanks Guys

errrrm
first you drop console then type the above.

Cheers Long Bow

Of course you can spell it properly, it should have a "t" between the p & s in Attempts like this>>> seta cl_connectionAttempts 60

Then it will work fine:¬)

Re: time increase for cod connecting

Yeah I noticed that but assumed it was a spelt that way on prupose. I figured it out and input it last night. It works fine, but I set mine to 30 as I didn't want to wait a whole sixty seconds to be told I time out. Of course I had no issues connecting last night in under 10 seconds, go figure.
