Angry PunkBuster problems

Help...

I am having serious PB problems and can't seem to play COD4 for more than 5 min. without getting kicked. This is on TG servers and other random Internet servers.

PB error is ...violation (ignoring queries) #9006 or losing key packets.

COD4 is Version 1.4.545
PB is version 2.032

I have updated to the latest PB version by running pbsetup.exe.
I have turned my firewall and virus protection off.
I have tried updating the FW on my firewall.
System is Vista, and I tried running the game in XP compatability mode.

Nothing seems to work.

Has anyone else had this problem, and know of a fix?

Thanks,
Beak

Re: PunkBuster problems

Well, I finally figured it out.

For future reference...

I uninstalled the last three windows updates (sorry can't tell you the KB #'s) and it is working fine now.

F@#$in Bill Gates!!! If they made any games for Linux I would be using that 100%

Re: PunkBuster problems

I had this problem and I only had to re-install PB.

Re: PunkBuster problems

I tried that, but it didn't work for me.

It was definitely the Windoze updates.

Re: PunkBuster problems

They're reverse engineering DirectX 10 as we speak!
