Amu I have some spare P4 socket 478's, not sure you could talk me out of the 3.2 Northwood but I would need to know your fsb to match a proc.

Re: CoD: WaW and a 1.3GHz P4 and 512mb of ram
Thanks man.
But I am just gonna ride this out until my parts get here.
Besides I am not really in the mood to take apart my only working computer at this time.
What I would really like to do is just by a new mobo for my old computer.
But I m afraid that if the mobo got messed up maybe it took the cpu with it at some level and I know it killed a couple of my memory chips. SO rather than throw good money into bad. Just gonna wait and buy new parts for an i7 build.

Re: CoD: WaW and a 1.3GHz P4 and 512mb of ram
dang man..sorry to hear that dude..
I would not spend the $$ for i7..not when you put together a rip snorting bad ass for $500 or $600 if you already have a drive and for even less if you already have a decent video card (does not sound like it if you have a P4..probably you have an AGP card..)
I bought this cool little phenom II tri-core processor at Fry's that came with 4-gigz of 800mhz memory and a cheesy little ECS board ($124) and I have to say, it is just SMOKING right along..with XP Pro (32-bit) I am getting my same 125+ fps with an 8800gt in CoD4 and the little booger does not even have to work hard..I have it running win7 beta 64-bit and it totally KICKS ASS on it...
There is no reason to spend much money on this stuff bro..it will be YEARS before I need to upgrade from this cheapy little setup...
