Wow, I wasn't aware that WinZip and WinRAR had both gone commercial. This makes me sad.
Anyways, I looked around at
TuCows.com and found a few free zip/rar programs. Quite a few are listed as shareware, but I managed to find a freeware program
here.
I have never had any problems with files from TuCows, but it would still be a good idea to scan the file for virus'/spyware before using. I'm not saying you wouldn't have done this, just putting in the disclaimer for future people that happen to read this thread.
