I love modern too, but the reason why it seems like the backstepped is cause treyarch was making WaW before CoD4 came out, at least according to the lead designer in an interview. And I don't want future... I can play halo if I want to have retarded technology, modern is my favorite. I would like CoD6 to be modern >> should start a petition

I was playing on a server earlier that felt very much like regular cod4 and the admin said he had turned weapon damage up as far as it will allow him to. All it should take is a simple patch allowing more damage.

We can adjust the wep damage and player health to suit our needs in the server config.

Im pretty sure the next COD is modern if not a tick bit in the future, 2050 ish. I read it on the totalgamingnetwork, ill try to see if i can find it.
