What to do once you are warned, kicked or banned --->

The admin staff doesn't expect all players to know all the rules and we know that it sometimes takes a bit of learning to play at TG. Often times warnings go out to players as part of this whole process.

Here are some things to consider:
  • Warnings are not the end of the world. There is no need to take it as a personal attack. Warnings are designed as a very minimalistic tool to teach or remind players of the COD4 Rules.

  • Admins can't always see all the angles of a situation. Sometimes things may look out of place and a warning may go up even if the situation is actually legitimate. For example, firing through walls - A player might get a warning for it even though a teammate communicated that an OpFor is spotted where blind firing is occurring. Again, nothing personal.

  • The game environment in the servers are considered live combat situations, unless designated as a training session. While admins are there and warnings go up every now and then, the goal is to have a smooth and continuous game. When a situation arises arguments; non-related distracting, instigating, or dramatic comments are cause for delaying and distracting players from the game. This kind of behavior is not tolerated.

  • Admins want to play too. Not to say don't bug an admin when they are playing, but just consider this before dragging things too far or inappropriately.

  • Admins are willing to discuss and train as appropriate. This means done with minimal intrusion to the live game. If you have concerns regarding an admin action, please take it the Contact An Admin forums or by other Contact Methods

  • A kick is often times a tool to either remove a highly disruptive player or as an attention getter. Consider a kick as another form of warning.

  • Coming back from a kick heated up and disruptive to the game will most likely result in a longer kick or a temporary ban so that the situation can be resolved offline without disrupting the game.

Bearing these things in mind will help insure a smoother game for all. The idea is for the game to not stop and for everyone to get in a circle and argue when a ref throws up a flag. In this game there are no timeouts on the clock, play keeps moving along, and situations should be handled briefly and appropriately. Maturity and composure is welcome. Drama is draining and disruptive and will in most cases likely result in removal.

If there is a serious issue around an admin decision that can't be resolved briefly, please follow the guidelines to contact an admin or chain of command as noted in the general SOPs.

Thank you for your time.

Re: What to do once you are warned, kicked or banned.

In addition to being warned or kicked some players may find themselves banned!

If this occurs an appeal must be written at this location:

Ban Appeal Message Area

And the proper way to appeal the ban is using this method:

If you believe you have been banned from the server, the first next thing to do is make sure you have not actually been kicked. Many people mistake a kick for a ban. Another common occurrence is when the server automatically issues a ban for TK'ing. In this particular situation, the ban lasts only for one round (i.e map change).

Before appealing your ban, please wait one hour and then try reconnecting to the server.

If, after one hour, you are still unable to connect to the server, you may appeal your ban by posting in this forum. The admin team is happy to evaluate all un-ban requests, and we strive to do so objectively and fairly. To help us get you back in the action, please be sure to include the following SIX things in your post:

1) Your in-game handle (including tags if you wear any)

2) The server from which you were banned (CoD 4 Server 1 or 2 or CoD 2 server)

3) Your QUID HASH (NOT CD KEY). Here This should be a 32-character code that looks something like this: 2f155ada658be73c073d8a4ae2f77466

4) What did you do to get yourself banned, i.e. your side of the story.

5) Identify which rule you violated. To do this, you will need to navigate the Official Rules, Announcements & SOPs forum, find the server rules and read them in their entirety. (This shows us you've actually read the rules.)

6) Explain: In you're opinion, why does TG have that rule? This will show us whether or not you understand the spirit of the rules, and that you may be ready to have your ban lifted.

Consider using the following template when creating your post:

In-game name:
Server:
Quid Hash:
Reason for Ban:

Violated Rule :

Opinion on Why Rule Exists:
