Field of View (FOV) setting not taking
Here's what you can do..... you can set a toggle on the field of view since for some reason the game doesn't allow you to keep the changes to this setting in the config file.
Try binding a key to toggle it from 65 - 80 when you log on each time:
bind F1 "toggle cg_fov 65 80" (where F1 is any key you would like to use)"The mind stretched to a new concept can never return to it's orginal dimension."

this is what i do.
in game, open the console. type exactly:
/bind w "+forward;cg_fov 80"
then press enter.
basically, whenever you spawn and press w to walk forward, it automatically resets your FOV to 80. you dont even notice it.

if you make the setting in the console (without being on a server) doesn't it stick?
I know in previous versions of the CoD series, if you made adjustments "in-game" it wouldn't save. Is that the case here?Vir-Chew-All!!

nope. it simply doesnt stick, regardless what you do.
