    A suggestion for the WaW server

    Tonight was the first night since the password was lifted that we had a good sized game going. Everything was going OK, until we got to the Domination maps. Because of the way the spawns are in Dom and HQ, you end up spawning behind the enemy. My suggestion is two fold:
    • Use either the War mode or CTF mode as they seem to have fixed spawn points
    • Remove the crappy small maps, or at least make them TDM or DM if they are going to stay

    Even though both War and CTF allow respawns, they can be played in a tactical fashion. Granted, it will be a faster paced game, but thats what the Dom mode was in the rotation for, right?

    In War for those of you that dont know there are atotal of 5 flags. you each start out automatically owning 2 you fight for the 3rd one. You can only cap one flag at a time.

    Thanks Chief, forgot to explain the game modes for those that haven't played them. Chief's explanation of War is correct.

    In CTF, both teams have a flag near their end of the map. The objective is to take the enemy flag back to your flag to capture it. If your flag is missing, you are unable to capture the enemy flag and must kill the enemy carrying your flag and touch the flag to return it.

    I also have another suggestion for the server:

    Remove the tanks

    I am not sure how others feel about this, but the tanks ruin the game for me. If the tanks are to stay, I will either spectate the match, or find another server faster than if the map Creek came up.

    If you are interested in removing the tanks Bubba, the command is:

    Code:
    set scr_vehicles_enabled "0"

    Just nerf the tanks with the mod. They are way to hard to take out atm. 2 bazooka rounds and a sticky should take them out NP, but it's not the case.

    Why get rid of the tanks? It is part of the game. Want to kill the tank get the bazooka.

    my favorite is getting in the church tower and dropping a satchel from the top floor and waiting for a tank to run over it. It comes out of no where... healthy tank to dead tank.

    ya they just need to be nerfed a little bit. It takes way to much damage for the amount it gives out. They should blow up with 2 bazooka shots at most. And right now with stock settings it takes more than that.

    Players using tanks on Search & Destroy...

    Hmm...

    Dont we have issues with players actually planting the bomb already? Do we really need tanks on S&D?

    Now that I have 10 kits to configure...

    I'd say for the Dom/WAR maps leave them in but for S&D I'd say no.

    Tanks. If jeeps were included in this mod....Ha, there goes the brainwashing.
    With the latest release of CoD then I would marry it.

    All that's needed now are bomber wings and those planes with the whistles to scare people.

    Server error question

    playing call of duty world at war and I keep getting this error CL.CGame neds server command: A reliable command was cycled out
    Anyone know how I can correct this or what the problem is?

    You might try the game developers forums and search there..

    Did you close out your game and restart and get the same error?
