Newbie to the Levels and Kicking
I was playing in your server last night and by my own ignorance of the levels was kicked. I just want to ensure that you know I appreciate your rules immensely and wish NOT to ruin this opportunity. I just want to be sure you folks know I am just NEW to the levels of COD (not new to online play) as I just played last night. With that said, if someone would just kindly say Hey BOT thats a no go area then I would back out instantly. This started to happen last night and one of your clan members began to kindly advise this and as I was running back I got kicked. I am not arguing the kick, just asking for just a little patience with the newbies.
Thanking you in advance
Andy

We are not a clan. :P
We welcome you to the server and hope you come back, I like your attitude towards the kick, very mature.
You should read our SOP's and the Rules and we shouldn't have another incident like this.

And isn't it a bad thing to be deceived about the truth, and a good thing to know what the truth is? For I assume that by knowing the truth you mean knowing things as they really are. ~ Plato

Re: Newbie to the Levels and Kicking
One of the main problems right now is all the folk on vacation coming onto the server, not knowing the rules and running around making a fool of themselves. You may have been caught in the middle of a multiple kick spree where many of people were not listening to the server rules. You'd be amazed at the amount of kicks and bans that have been issued over the holiday season. The admins for the COD4 and WaW servers are constantly monitoring the players. When numerous people are not cooperating or listening to the warnings then a kick is sure to follow.
On a more positive note. Thanks for finding us. It's a great community for mature gamers who enjoy one anothers company. I like your attitude as well and hope to see you on the servers more often.
I would definitely read the rules. It'll save a lot of headaches wondering what you can and cannot do on the servers.
Thanks!

Re: Newbie to the Levels and Kicking
Thanks for your kind replies. Being 45 and an old school gamer (hince the name EraserBot - If you played Quake 1 you will know) its refreshing to find adult orientated servers on occasion and I just didn't want to lose the opportunity to continue playing here. And before I get toasted with "You are too old to be playing, get a life" flames, let me tell you. I enjoy my IS-F, I have a beautiful wife, a 5 year old who is developing killer reflexes and an 18 year old that I still love to smoke in CSS.
Have a Safe and Happy New Year Folks.

A yougun' and a newbie.
Kicks are a way to reinforce the rules and even admins have been kicked in their time here. It isn't held against you and actively participating in the forums goes a long way with the community.
Good to have you a board.

Re: Newbie to the Levels and Kicking
Glad you made it to the forums Eraser..!! We had some good rounds with you over the holidays!
They get all testy when you say "clan" around here..they consider it, and we really are, a community of like-minded gamers that like to play in a mature fashion. Hence all the action you saw as we kicked and banned throughout the holidays having to get rid of people unlike yourself that did not want to listen and/or ignored our rules.
It takes just a bit, but you will fall in just fine around here and on our servers!!
