Re: Patch information.
Well I hope this is what's needed to get our WaW server to populate. I'm severly dissapointed with the lack of players. A patch may be the first step to revive it!

Re: Patch information.
Those are their "immediate" needs fixing items? Wow..that patch should have been out the week after the game hit the shelves with most of those items included in the beta! Those look pretty pitiful to me...
It just goes to show you where the money is, i.e. consoles.

Re: Patch information.
There is no "lack" of players. The problem is that there is a "lack" of players willing to play by our rules. The pubby smacktards run off the "regulars" so we passworded it to keep the pubbies at bay. Hopefully we will be able to get a regular player base established now that the server is safegarded against pubby asshattery.
Honestly, the game itself is just so "lacking" and "broken", that it sounds from what I hear in TS and in game that most people just prefer CoD4 more.
Treyarch released a pubby style run and gun game for the consoles (as evidenced by the tiny little useless maps) and just happened as an after thought, to make a release for PC without any thought of making it "good".
Maybe after Treyarch can attend to the MASSIVE amounts of problems with the game, as far as the MP and Mods go, then the mod teams will have a chance to get their stuff going and we will see new bigger maps and be able to have more TG oriented style gameplay. The one mod server we have played on has wreaked havoc with peoples configs and settings but hopefully in the future will be able to be made stable and more playable.

Re: Patch information.
I'm not holding my breath on Treyarch patching the redirect. They said in their patch pre-release statement that they may not get to everything on their list.
I always back up my profiles before playing on any modded server because of the probs folks have experienced.
I think the main problem with the pubbies is during the respawn modes. It's super hard to get them to play the objective and it's super hard to figure out who is not on plan so we can kick them.
We have two servers running CoD4 S&D that are not pass worded and we are able to deal with the rule breakers either via admin action or player vote kicks (if no admins on). I think it's safe to assume that the same formula that works for CoD4 will work for WaW.
