    Mod Update

    I should be done with the mod update this up coming weekend. I have added the tactical grid to the maps that where missing it. I also added the first custom map called
    Ghost Town 1944 I will be adding a few more to it during this week . Bugs that are now fixed Bayonets no longer take ammo from you and the m1grand bug is also fixed. The support gunner perk problem has been fixed meaning not all the perks are avaible.
    Im currently working on the smg's so that they will have a little more distance when shooting. Also adding Custom Did You Knows that will also have info about the mod
    and features and other stuff. Hopefully I can convince MindKill to help me on that Maybe if I promise not to knife him for a week he'll do it.LOL.

    I am going to try to get the medic stuff ive been working on out in this update.
    I have a few ideas that I'd like to get some imput on.

    I was thinking of making the perk called bandge. It will be only one badge this will give a player a choice you can get lets say a gas mask or a bandge. This will force the medics into more of there role running around healing people.

    Also I was thinking that I can have the medic drop his medic kit if he's killed
    so any one, friendly or enemy will be able to pick it up and give first aid.

    I am trying to improve on what the medic class is there for but I dont want to hurt the game play so I'd love to hear some feedback and or your idea's.


    On another note I'm just about finished with the stats page of our website and I have added a few things to the mod already for the stats. Besides being just a kill to death stat tracker I have added the abilty to track your XP and Rank and have a few ideas about other things i'd like to track one being revives and medic heals, Now there are medals for things such as player with the most kills but I will be adding medals that go along with a more team based theme So i would also like to get everyones ideas about what the stat tracking should track and what medals should be given.

    I will make on for the number one bomb planter and number one bomb defuser.
    I was thinking some medic stuff like player with most meals or revives.

    but would like to get everyones ideas since we have the ablity to add just about anything.

    Hay Krag
    With the Medic It would be good if you made him/her harder to kill just some incentive to go running around healing people, and yes if the medic dies he drops his/her kit but maybe a bigger kit?
    But all the rest sounds great !!!!

    Please stand back, as I am going to spitball some ideas concerning Medics:
    1. I like the bandage perk idea, it will make medics more valuable.
    2. How about instead of dropping the Medic Kit (if equipped) when the Medic dies, it drops a Bandage kit (or several)? I think that would make the Medics a resource to be protected. Otherwise, it might become, "Bah, who cares that Mindkill the Medic died, just pick up his kit!"
    3. I think the default loadout for Medics should include the Medic kit instead of Hollow Point Ammo, as it does now.
    4. Would it be possible to allow a medic to drag the wounded for a short distance? If so, we could allow the medic drag a teammate out the line of fire in order to heal them.
    5. This idea is not necessarily about medics, but does concern them: I noticed on the stats page that hit location is tracked. Would it be possible to have different detrimental effects for the different hit locations? For example: Headshot = instant death, Torso = going into last stand and lower threshold for heart attack (after being bandaged), Arms = Increased weapon sway and chance of dropping your equipped weapon, Legs = decreased walking speed and removed ability to sprint and jump. This way, the Bandage perk will get a player back on their feet, but a medic will be required to cure the above ailments.
    6. Is the Medic Kit meant to completely cure a wounded teammate? I'm not sure because I don't think I have ever been healed by a medic with the Medic kit.

    Concerning the stats and medals, you and I have talked about it in TS, so you already have my thoughts.

    I dont know if youa lready coverd this but i would like it if people couldnt entirely stop their bleeding they could only slow it and medics can fix them up cuz right now they are only useful for gettin shot up pretty bad

    There is already a chance to drop your weapon if shot in the hand or arm. But here's an idea maybe if you get hit there you wont beable to fire as fast as you normaly can.

    already in the mod is the chance of falling to the ground when shot in the leg or foot
    and if you do fall you are no longer able to sprint. At one point in time I had made movement speed slower also. but was running into some issues which i think i have now solved. so i can reactivate the slower move speed.

    also I can increase the health for the medics but here is the problem people who take medic class will want to be front line fighters now that they know they are harder to kill
    I have tried to come up with ideas to prevent that like maybe giving them the smg's instead of the SL. But I already see every one already wanting the auto's This was one of the major reasons the support class moves slower .So Im still up in the air on this.

    and yes I can make it so that the the medic only drops a bandge and not the whole kit
    the only way to improve on the heart rate deal would be to give a player health the medic currently does not do that but thats easy to do but we would need to mess around with some test to find the sweet spot.

    I will wait a day or two to see if we can get a few more posts with ideas

    o and yes mind kill i rember what medal you asked me to make.

    MIND KILLER , This medal is giving to the player that kills mind kill the most. LOL

    If the medic is to get more health to help them survive patching up teammates, then I think they will need to be limited in their offensive capabilities. Such as:
    • Take away all offensive nades so that they will only be able to get flares or smoke
    • If the above listed idea is used, give the medics extra smokes or flares
    • Only give the Binoculars perk in Special Weaponry set
    • Remove all perks from the Equipment set except the following: Flak Jacket, Gas Mask, and Medic Kit
    • Remove the Stealth perk from the Ability set
    • Give the medic only 1 or 2 clips of ammo as they should be loaded down with medical supplies

    I think with these changes, people will not want to use the class as a front line soldier. It will also force anyone playing a medic to rely on their teammates for protection.

    Just a thought on the Medic class, DON"T MAKE HIM TOUGHER!
    Just make him painful to hurt, or even give him the option to take him self out of last stand.
    Can a Red Cross tile or skin be made into a patch on the Medic's arm? I see 82nd has an "Army Airborne," patch on the American Marines even though cod5 is Marines. ( I wish it could switch between AA and Marines cause we're playing Europe and the pacific.)
    And if so... maybe the person who shoots the Medic gets a dishonorable mention in game or loss in rank?
    Or vision is affected or something. PTSD!
    Unless of course the Medic is the last man on his team.

    The German STG-44 I have asked before why oh why can't it be classed or mixed into a class? It sounds corny I know but, I play this game for the historical presidents too.

    I got one for class killing "Krags Last Stand" putting Krag in last stand and having him hold your nade!

    And this coming from a guy that has more TKs then me. All I have to say Ren is atleast
    when i do something I do it right. I dont just snipe the team mate whos a turret gunner
    instead I take out my whole team in one fast explosion. See you should take a lesson from me instead of killing your team mates once every couple rounds just get it done all at once.

    I have updated this line of my post after sleeping on it.
    Krag if you don't stop sneaking up behind me and others to knife them soon people will want to get out of the historical accuracy and go with a Predator Drone only when your playing.

    One thing for certain, the three day week end is coming up and I need to play! RenRag want fresh meat!
