Why don't you like it?
I would like to find out why not that many TG members and regulars like to play on (or even try) the SOG Modded WaW server.
What is the one thing (or combination of things) that keeps you from playing this awsome, anti-RnG, tactical, and teamwork driven mod? You don't like the graphics? You don't like WWII games? Not enough RnG? Is it too tactical? Is it too complicated? You enjoy the pub experience on the vanillia CoD4 server too much?
I'm just really having a hard time believing that the CoD community here at TACTICAL Gamer is having a problem with getting behind our modded WaW server. I would like to find out why. Help Krag and I to help you love this mod!

Maybe it's kinda hard for people. Game play I mean! After all we're really going back to the beginning where the warfare is taking place in forests, fields, made bunkers, and old towns where people just got the hell out FAST!
I personally love WWII genera games the most ( Not War in general). The history of it is of fascinating interest to me. If you read any books or watch the History Channel, one brutal battle took place in the Pacific where very few people lived to tell, I recall a little of this from a The History Channel where accounts of Marines that survived the battle some reported seeing the ocean water being BLOOD RED from all the dead and wounded. Modern warfare is no comparison to the horrible horrible things that happened in WWII. I just will never get on board the modern warfare thing! Maybe I am just a little to morbid?
I can't get into the modern warfare thing because I think in us as Americans we are the most militarily Superior country on the planet. We are so far advanced today as a society due impart to WWII just about everything that we have today connects back to this turning point in our history, and WWII was the last close leveled playing ground war (Till the bomb dropped). With that said I do believe that the Germans had far more superior weaponry. But due to our creation of the assemble line and the perfection of such, we basically out produced them.
I just want people to know why I like WWII genera games. This is just one main reason.
And Mind, you had me at SOG Mod!

I love the mod but don't get that much time on the servers because of that dirty word WORK and lately with server 1 going back to vanilla it's hard to get to the WAW server but next chance i get i will be there!!

I think one thing I like about it is there is not as much spray and pray weapons. I like to look down the sites and shoot. Also not as many snipers as COD4. One thing about the slower pace is I get to round a corner and bump into the enemy and jump out of my chair because he scared me so much. I just don't get this in COD4. We seem to have time to laugh at one another and admire the enemy's tactics when he kills me. Just my thoughts.

I think that part of the problem is that people where expecting alot more than they got when the game was first released and now the game is playing catch up, the mod is awsome but getting people intrested in the mod is an uphill battle because of the first impresions of the original game.All we can do is keep trying!!

I've played it once and LOVED it. It's a great mod and I would play it all the time, the only problem is TIME ZONES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
They make me cry so much!
I'm English so the server is always empty when I'm playing. Believe me I want to play with you guys. Nothing annoys me more than seeing the little graph on gametracker which shows 10 guys having some great fun at 2 in the morning.

I agree, this mod makes you think, act not react, When I play 4, many of my actions are reactions, server 2 is changing that though, I like the game play on WAW, I feel it will take time to build...

why dont we have a official WAW server game night? we used to do it for the TRM server? That could help improve the popularity of it. It worked out quite well for TRM. (even though ti dont remember a thing about the TRM mod because Openwarfare is awesome)
