Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
Guns pretty much kick the same every time you shoot them. Most of the kick is back not up or too the sides. I have shot many rifles and shotguns and never had them come up more than a couple of inches at most.If your gun is kicking a foot in the air everytime you shoot you aint holding it tight enough and your not being safe.
Mind you I have never shot an automatic weapon and I imagine that this will be different because each round would kick your barrel at bit higher when you pump out a burst.
Anyway my point is there is nothing random about how a gun kicks. It is a tool and does the same thing each time its fired unless you change the round put through the weapon.
Thanks Todd

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
An automatic weapon will continue to kicing upward on your when you fire the bullets in succession without using short burst. This is why you see soldiers firing in short burst to maintain the accuracy. Even a person firing the LMG in RL will use short burst to maintain the accuracy.
So the point is the faster you shoot the more the gun will jump around not necessarily from the kick being different but it's the adjustments the soldier makes to correct the kick for the next fire.
I fired a goose shot gun at age 14 (it's a 10 guage) and it knocked me on my ass. They call it a goose gun for hunting geese and the barrell is really long for increased accuracy."The mind stretched to a new concept can never return to it's orginal dimension."

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
Consider this, a Medic should have more than ONE bandage to use on himself. Last night i got shocked by some post, bandage'd myself up, then broke my leg, and couldn't bandage!
I believe a man who is the life-line of the team, carrying around supplies for everyone else, would have more than one bandage to use for himself.
I was also thinking, maybe the medic could carry extra bandages and have the ability to hand them out to teammates (much like the support ability but with bandages.) Then the Medic would have more than one bandage and people could restock for another fire fight.
But, the bigger issue is equiping medics with extra bandages for himself. The Hand-out ability is just an unimportant idea.

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
Some good points Slowe! But, my opinion is this: Medics are the lifeline of the team, as you said, so they should be in the rear, with the gear. Granted, its not easy to hold back when the fecal matter is hitting the rotating blades, but it must be done in order to assure revives and heals when needed.
I do like your idea on medics being able to hand out extra bandages and think it might make the medic more attractive to the team players. Another idea that I would like to see implemented once the lag issue is fragged: Lengthen the time it takes before a player "bleeds out" after being put into last stand. I find my self running across the map to try and revive a teammate, only to arrive on scene as he chokes on his own blood.

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
I agree the Medic should stay in the back of the squad and not in the direct combat. Whenever i can i play as the Medic, i love the feeling that i can physically benefit my teammates by saving their lifes.
But, i do like the thrill of the short revival period. Keeps a person closer to the team. It could be alittle bit longer, but for right now im happy with it.
JUST GIVE ME MORE BANDAGES!!! :P

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
Is there any way to make a random person spawn with the bomb? Person who spawns with the bomb can make the plan. It would make people be more active in the tactical process. One could give up the bomb if they weren't a good fit for it, but they should still at least try to plan. Anyway of doing this?

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
not sometimes man... hell we are lucky that if we get stabbed were not partially hurt and can pull out a pistole and shoot.
i do wish for the sound of when the arty launches to be turned WAY down to almost nothing and leave the rest like income sounds and such.
i would like to see the night maps a little more lighted, i love the concept but i don't really like not seeing more than five feet in front of me.
is there a way that we can correct deviation from running so that there is more weapon sway the more you move? seems like for a lot of movement there is little sway when you bring up your sights to shoot.
i would like to get a clairification on the distance of the trench shotgun. so far i have only used in CQB like it should, but i know in RL shotguns can do some damage.

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
I had some to that effect. The thing you have to remeber is we are dealing with alot of different people and it has been changed to where it is now. Maybe what we need to do
is run some polls and set it up off of that. Take the fall hieght I had alot of people complaining about the hieght and spraining there leg. It is set at 9 feet so if you fall off something at nine feet you will run a 50/50 chance of getting a leg injury.
I will be more active modding again as soon as I complete my map. which is coming along very nicely.

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
what about creating a different kit called Spotter who has binoculars as a perk and has arty instead of the Squad leader but give the squad leader the ability to have several specialites?

Re: SOG mod Suggestion Box
I think the scoreboard should be disabled while a match is ongoing. In a real war you can't check the scoreboard to see if the guy you just shot at is down. You have to go make sure, or go on with what your doing and hope you got him.

Lots of time in between rounds to look at your kills and in my case DEATHS
