So far, I am pretty satisfied. Ran 3DMark06 and scored a 11990 as compared to a 10096 with my 8800GTS. I am no expert, but I think an almost 2000 point jump is pretty good.
Current system stats are:
Asus M3N72-2
AMD X2 6400+ @ 3.2GHz
2GB Crucial Ballistix Tracer DDR800
eVGA GTX 275 FTW
Soundblaster X-fi Extreme Gamer edition
500 GB SATA II
250 GB SATA II
Crappy no-name 550W PSU
I am going to have to replace my motherboard at some point. The second set of DIMM sockets is bad, so I can't utilize my other 2 sticks of RAM. I am seriously looking at this motherboard for the replacement. Granted, not the greatest, but I could do worse. I just want to make sure I will be able to upgrade to the current generation Phenom II's, as my dual core is now the bottleneck on my system. Oh, and while I am in dreamland, I would also like to run the fast RAID with a couple 10k (or.. drool.. 15k) RPM drives.

You need a new PC and it should be a Intel machine!
P.S. I know that is not what you want to hear, but it will work out of the box or boxes!

Yeah, I do get what I pay for. I get very good performance with my AMD products at a fraction of the cost of Intel products. The problem with my motherboard has absolutely nothing to do with it supporting AMD chips. It has something to do with the retailler I purchased it from. I have known they sell defective products occasionally, but I wanted the motherboard now instead of waiting for it to be shipped by a more reliable company. So, I am now paying the price for my impatience.
