Possible fix for crashing on map change
I have told quite a few people about this in game and on Xfire, but I know I haven't told everyone. Try deleting some of your custom maps that you no longer play, and deleting the folders of mods that you no longer play. It has been proven that having too many mods installed and/or too many custom maps causes errors in the game.
The location of the mod folder is:
Vista: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Activision\CoD WaW\mods
(You may need to "Show hidden files and folders" in Control Panel -> Folder Options, View tab)
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods
The location of the user maps folder is:
Vista: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Local\Activision\CoD WaW\usermaps
(You may need to "Show hidden files and folders" in Control Panel -> Folder Options, View tab)
XP: C:\Documents and Settings\YourUserName\Local Settings\Application Data\Activision\CoDWaW\mods\mp_usermaps
Compare your list of user maps to the Server map list.
Hope this helps!Last edited by Mindkill; 07-02-2009 at 12:50 PM.

Re: Possible fix for crashing on map change
Hell! i only hav the SOG mod on my computer and the maps from the TG server, and i still get the occasional crash....but the server still thinks i'm playing so i can't get back in cuz of duplicate qports.
Easy fix if you got an admin on Xfire thats in the server...get them to kick your "Ghost" (as i like to call it) and you can join back in.
((Sometimes, you just gotta take it Slow...e))
