with people playing on different teams all the time, their special spots done stay secret long, so I dont see that as an issue
as for ghosting that can be a concern

Well as far as ghosting goes. You would need to have clan members/ Friends on the same team thats the only way to help prevent ghosting, not stop it but help. Because when you have clan members/ friends on the different teams its just like having free spectate on.

Bronco said it gets contentious each time it's tried. But it's been "tried" on CoD4 server 2 for as long as I've been playing at TG, and like I said, I've never noticed, nor heard of anyone else noticing, ghosting on CoD4.
Actually, that's true for CoD4 server 2. I believe I once heard mumbled suspicions of ghosting on server 1 during its current spell as a stock, ranked server.
Seriously, we see the same people day in day out, with the occasional vagrant showing up on our doorstep. You'd think you guys would show some trust :P
Also, people say speccing your teammates is more useful than speccing anyone. Well go ahead and spec your teammates, then. No-one's stopping you. Should you be FORCED to only spec your teammates? I don't think so.

im saying leave it the way that it is. i mean it takes out that certian element in COD4 and it makes you think of where you have to go instead of memorizing certian spots. i know that i am still finding different hiding spots in waw b/c there is no free spec and it is a great surprise when you find a spot that you know will not be found out for a couple of days!!

Based on the split vote and further consultations with players, we'll try freespec for a week and then decide if it's having a negative effect on the game play and go from there.
