    Need some help.

I keep getting an unhandled exception caught error on custom maps only.

I've tried every "Fix" I could find. And nothing has helped.

I've reinstalled the entire game and no difference.

I'm using Win7 64bit if that makes any difference. It's the STEAM version of the game too.

It started happening after I added a GTX 285 to my build. I've already tried new GFX drivers.. Reinstalled Direct X nothing has helped it..

    Any insight on this problem?

Ok first off AJ do you have any custom maps downloaded already.
also if you want I can set up my test server with stock maps and mod. see if you can join.
and we can go from there. give me a time and I'll join you on TS and we can trouble shoot your issue.

I have a bunch of custom maps from other servers I've visited.. Should I delete all the Mods, maps and other junk from my system and start over?

I wont be able to get on Sunday or Monday but I will be on tuesday from about 4pm est on.

Yes you can only have some much custom content in your folders. you dont need to delete everything just move it out of the folder.

Didn't help. But It was probably worthwhile to clean it out I rarely used any of the mods anyway..

I'm going to try to find some older gfx drivers..

Edit: Actually that may have done it. I restarted my comp and it's no longer giving me the error.. For now..

    Great News!

    It's still happening lol.

    Finally got some errors though.

    C:\Users\Aj\AppData\Local\Temp\WER6EBA.tmp.WERInte rnalMetadata.xml
    C:\Users\Aj\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB03D.tmp.appcomp at.txt
    C:\Users\Aj\AppData\Local\Temp\WERB2AE.tmp.mdmp

None of those files are in my Temp folder though.

Those are your crash dump and related files. If you have the debugging tools for Microsoft, the symbols, and the knowledge to decipher them, they can be useful. (read as: Unless you are a MCSE, give up now)

Take a look here. There are quite a few possible solutions listed in that thread. Hopefully you find one you haven't tried yet.

    Good luck!
