Re: VietnamMod for WaW
Well, Bubba Bronco and I wrenched on this thing a bit but are not having any luck getting it to run without crashing on round change. I've PM'd Zeroy with some error info and questions. I'm waiting to hear back from him before We continue to try and get this running. SoGmod is back online as of now.
We are currently marking up the configs for OW NamWaW mod and will try to test it tomorrow.

Re: VietnamMod for WaW
Ok, I heard back from Zeroy and he fixed the error that I alerted him to. He said there is a patch in the works and it will be released shortly.
For those who are curious about 10-78 running the mod, Zeroy said that they have a newer test version of the mod that fixes some of the known errors.
Watch for the patch/update and we'll test it again when it comes out. Thanks to everyone that helped evaluate this.

Re: VietnamMod for WaW
are any of you guys still playing the vietnam mod? I want to give it a try but I am confused as to which version I need. Is there a download that includes the full mod patched up to 2.0 and includes all of the maps? Thank you

Re: VietnamMod for WaW
This is "the other" Vietnam mod, with not historically correct weapons (M16A4, etc ...), Standard player models and based on Open Warfare - Merely a reskin of CodWAW.
I have been busy with RL over the holiday period but i intend to get Patch 1.1 for the RGN Vietnam Mod within the next few days, new maps are in the plans as well.
Thanks guys for your patience!

Re: VietnamMod for WaW
LOL @ Zeroy:
First off I would like to say hello to everyone here at Tactical Gamer and reply to some of Zeroys comments since rgn and himself like to bad mouth anything we do over at CODUtility whenever possible when we ask for nothing in return and give credit where it is due. You say "not historically correct weapons" yet at the same time they are the same exact weapons you pulled over from COD4 (Besides the M16 there is no difference besides skins) You say "Standard player models" yet the rgn mod is using reskinned Japanese models from W@W for your Vietcong's team... I would also like to point out Vietcong is plural and how that got passed all you "smart" guys is beyond me lmao. You did pull over the cod4 player models for 1st Cav but it wasn't really worth it and added a ton of unneeded materials... again from cod4 nothing new. Also you say were using Open Warfare like its a bad thing while you are using AWE source code which was mostly created by Tally and you give him no credit for his work... its called Zeroys Vietnam Mod and most of the work was not done by you... little of the AWE coding, no skinning, received work from many members of the community as in Number7, Joker and so on. Your a fame whore and with other peoples work lol, including the maps which you purposely locked down to "your" mod.
On the other hand NAM:WAW is a community mod, the maps can be played on any mod/server. With version 2.0 there is 13 maps, custom classes, all weapon attachments w/ ingame custom class editor, new weapons, Two Theaters of War: US Army VS Vietcong & Australian Task Force VS North Vietnamese Army w/ awesome skins(I know because I skinned them and have been told time and time again =) ) 100's of custom sounds from the game Vietcong.. you know what ill just throw up a release thread in this category. This thread was not to start a flame war by any means its just a response and hope it doesn't offend anyone here at Tactical Gamer.
JeWBaG
PS:
Also have more quoted from Tally & Demonseed on CODUtility revoking your right to use the AWE source code at all.. shame on you Zeroy lol.

Re: VietnamMod for WaW
The above poster is obviously a little "agitated"?
Quoting myself:
I stand by it, the CODUtility mod uses COD4 weapons which were never used in the Vietnam War conflict since they didnt exist, the new version 2.0 even brings attachments such as Acog and Red dots. I have no problems with any of this but as i stated it is not historically correct weapons. This is "the other" Vietnam mod, with not historically correct weapons (M16A4, etc ...), Standard player models and based on Open Warfare - Merely a reskin of CodWAW.
All the players models i used in the RGN Vietnam Mod are custom, none of them are from the MP Stock game. Again i was just pointing another fact.
Guys, i wont go on too much on the rest of the post which as no place here at all - Just to clarify that beside a few functions borrowed from AWE4-5 I coded the mod from scratch with the help of well, a lot of people
-- All the credits are there also, Tally's name does not figure but this is also the case for a numbers of modders which were/are in the RGN Dev Team.
Going back to topic, I am still working on patch 1.1 and a few more maps for your enjoyment, should you choose to Play the mod,

All this negativity aside. When are we going to get together and blow some stuff up?
