Discussion: Call of Duty Archives / Call of Duty: World at War - General Discussion - Has everyone moved on? - Hey Guys
Has everyone moved onto a new game? If so which one?
Thanks Todd
I don't think its an issue so much of having moved into other games although I have been busy with another title recently but with the season, the broken browser, and the number of choices we have for game play. Its become a specialized game almost every night of the week and we each have our preferences. I have thoroughly enjoyed both of the "NAM" mods and love the competitive rounds we have played in "4" but the community has become somewhat closed with the introduction of MW2 and until its run its course and the general gaming community comes back to the quality of service that the earlier versions still provide, numbers may remain a little thin.
Yeah. I've been somewhat hooked on MW2. Not sure if I should go prestige or stick to level 70. If I stick to level 70 then, most likely, I'll be looking for WaW and MW games more often. If I go prestige then I'll be more apt to continue up the ladder. Hmmmm....what to do.
I miss playing with all you guys. Even when I get the itch to play with ya, I check all the servers and no one is ever on. Must be that time of year. And I still think, with the MW2 no dedicated server thing, that it took some of the gusto away from the COD title here.
I'm about 99% sure that if we hosted MW2 that there would be a very good showing almost every night. The game is addicting.
Hopefully we'll all see more of each other when Bad Company comes out. Or some other good shooter.
I gave away my copy of COD4; not really interested in MW2, so I'm playing WaW now. However, I am definitely in when Bad Company 2 comes out. Nevertheless, good times playing WaW Nam mod these days.
i have moved on... i play arma 2 right now... you should come check it out todd i think that you might really like it

I'm mainly not playing these days because my ma's in town until the start of January, so I'm doing lots of socialising. And when I need a game break, I usually play Fifa on the PS3, since it's in the living room and I can still somewhat socialise.
Got a few good rounds of namwaw in last night, even if it was only me, Odyssvs, Wookie, Kin, Jack and some guy I didn't recognise who kept reconnecting.
If this drought continues after my ma's gone in January, I'll most likely be reinstalling Project Reality.
Okay guys I know it's the Christmas season and everyone has a lot going on, but tonight (12/15/2009) lets play some WaW. I have really enjoyed the new mod. So see ya'll tonight.

It is not often that I encounter across myself when researching a topic. I found the following in a recent article on the uses of ethnography in virtual environments:

It has been almost 6 months now and I am still waiting for the second peer-review report to come in for my next book (this one is on the future of television).
