Mysteriously promoted from Master Sergeant (lvl 24) to 1st Lieutenant (Lvl 30)
hello,
I had a strange thing happen during an online match. I was taken out (stabbed) by an enemy player and I was suddenly promoted from lvl 24 to level 30. at first, I simply thought it was the enemy player's replay kill, but when the match ended I had over 10,000 points earned for this single match!
I know there are a lot of mods and hacks in WAW multiplayer. Is there a mod setting that gives large points like this after being killed?
I also checked out where I was at on the leaderboards and there I was, a single butter bar amongst a bunch of Master Sergeants. I also noticed there were a few other officers with the same ranking amongst the Master Sergeants on the leaderboards.
If this promotion glitch was due to mod, is there a WAW specific community I can join and participate in that has honest and private non-hacked matches. I'm certainly not a pwning WAW player, but I do enjoy playing this game within the intended design rules.
Any info would be much appreciated.

Hi darthluc and welcome to Tactical Gamer!
From what you have explained, it sounds like you were on a "rank-up" server. These servers allow you to gain considerably more points than you normally would in the course of a match. The last I remember about those types of servers were that they are not allowed but, it's been quite some time since I have played World at War.
As for a WaW specific community, I really can't help much. The Tactical Gamer WaW server was shut down a while back but, it's usually a safe bet to search for servers with "Tactical" or "Tactical Realism" in the server name, in the server browser. You might also try doing a Google search for "world at war tactical server" and check out the websites that it brings up. (Hint: Check the ones with a military looking unit number first)
