Re: PTBS Warlords: A City Too Far - Signup

It seems like war has erupted with Grizzly and Wenz I assume attacking BBFrancis (aka Prometheus aka Neo?). Anyone willing to share the details on what is happening? I tried sending a PM to Prometheus but apparently he has his PMs disabled.

Indeed, Bernout, You are right. I wanted to give ´em time to declare themselves, but nonetheless...

The Greek people have suffered too long under various despots. Separatist groups called for our help, so the combined buddhist forces of the Grizzly´ and Zulus have engaged to liberate their souls! They shall live peaceful and prosperous under our protection for ages.

Furthermore, the recent development of the old Greek authorities, installing a so called "caste system", is a direct threat to all nations, fueling civil unrest among our patriarchal developed slaveholder civilizations.

A preemptive and decisive strike is for the greater good of all countries in our shared world!

Any direct or indirect help towards the soon obsolete Greek government will be regarded as an ominous act by us, and we encourage all peaceloving nations to cancel their trades with them and join our side. Your aid shall never be forgotten by the Zulu people!

Combined Buddhist forces who are attacking yet another Buddhist nation? Something smells funny here.

You talk about a preemptive strike and yet encourage all peaceloving nations to join you. Surely all must see the contradiction here.

What the Korean nation finds most ominous is two developed nations attacking a smaller one. The apparent injustice here is also clear for everyone to see. We officially condemn both the Zulu and Grizzlia actions and demand you reign in your aggression and retreat back to your own lands. No excuses can make up for what is obviously apparent aggression on your part.

We the People of Grizzlia understand the concern of the Korean people and we do partly agree with you. Declaring war to the Greek is just a way to tell the strong and mighty Zulu people we support their decision.
We have not invaded the Greek territory and we have no intentions to do so. The strong Zulu people are very capable of fighting their war themselves.

mm ,declaring a war but not sending any troops or invading the greec empire doesnt make sense to me but there must be some very clever thinking behind all this.

I m to far away to have a opinonion on the war but i m a peacefull nation and prefer diplomatic solutions above war.

Did someone pull a double move on you? If not, then I fail to see how it would make any difference. I restored the server with 22 hours on the timer this morning.

A reminder to everyone that if you can't connect and are afraid you might miss a turn, then please post in the server status topic and let me know how much time you need on the timer.

Having completed our circumnavigation of the continent, the Viking nation is discontinuing all non-critical Open Borders agreements. We wish to thank all Civ's that allowed our vessels to pass by their shores.

I just wanted to let you guys know that CingularDuality asked me to take control of the Ottoman civilization for him permanently. His computer is still not working correctly and he's also dealing with some real world issues (he just moved, he has a cold, etc.) that has made it hard for him to get online regularly.

Cheers,

Cheers,
I was just about to come in here to post this. Yeah, and it's not just a cold. My doctor had to pack me in ice last week because my fever was 105.6. It's influenza and it kicked my butt.

Anyway, I really appreciate you taking over for me. Let me know when the Ottoman Empire spans the globe, OK?
