Re: PTBS Warlords: A City Too Far - Signup

I know I'm long overdue for doing this, but there is now a Player List available with links to be able to easily send private messages to people.

We're working on it. LOL
As of two turns ago, the Ottomans, Vikings, and Koreans declared war on the Zulu Nation.

Giving honor to the Queen we have beaten back the savage this battle. May God save us for the upcoming war.

Re: PTBS Warlords: A City Too Far - Signup

A quick note here to encourage everyone to poke around in the other Civ 4 forums at this site. I've been on fire this weekend to get things rolling for a new TG BTS game in March so your participation in some of the topics I've posted would be appreciated.

S!

P.S: Go get 'em XSChunkylover77!!!

Yep...I'll definitely be doing that but not until sign up time.

God willing some of the nations in the ACK alliance will do some trades with the English empire. These trades might be light now but in the future(if there is one) we will be generous in our dealings. We have heard the rumblings of heavy horse in the distance and fear that we will be trampled without better protection. God save us all from the heathens!!

To my brothers in the ACK alliance I come to you with tidings of the war. The news is not good. The heavy horse we feared is indeed real. The fearsome savages have overtaken another city and is moving on to another. It is only a matter of time now for my empire. I bid you farewell and trust that you will beat back the godless heathens.

A quick note here --- I think the author of CivStats (OverloadUT) got the problem corrected with the 2 extra positions showing up. The player list should now be correct.

What has happened to Wenz of the Zulus? It seems he hasn't played for a few turns. I don't think it makes sense to continue this way, since he's in war to several directions.

Hmm...I haven't heard anything from him so assumed he was intentionally letting the timer run out due to a short absence. Anyone know what is going on? Grizz...have you heard from him?

I'm all for holding the game at 1040 AD until we know what's going on.

Re: PTBS Warlords: A City Too Far - Signup

Ok...I've just posted a note in the server problems thread indicating that the server is temporarily down.

The plan I propose is to bring the server back up on Saturday. This gives us 2 days to try to get in touch with Wenz and see what is going on. So if you have a means to reach him then please make use of it. Also, if you know someone who can substitute for him then please let me know that as well. We can do that as a last resort if everyone thinks it is the right thing to do.

We're in a gray area here as far as how to proceed so all ideas are welcome and we'll go with player consensus. I checked and Wenz hadn't logged in since March 3 so I thought stopping the server was a good first step as per Dandridge's recommendation.

Last time he logged in we talked, but he didn't mention he would be gone. (At least not that I have noticed ;-))
Since he left without a word and never pressed enter, I guess there's something with his connection.

Grizz.

Ya, that's not a good sign. These type of connection losses can last for a while.

What's your thoughts on how we should proceed? Sub?
