Nope. What you see is what you get tomorrow. I'll just restart the game with the same save file. Who's your teammate?

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups

Suliman/Munro is my teammate. (edited that into the other post too)

My leader name is Elkad (apparently I registered that nick here last year and then forgot the password, so I'm stuck using Ebenezer for a board name)

Restarting does give a minor exploration bonus to first city placement, especially if you have a scout... (OK, I'm really whining cause I won't be able to duplicate my hut results (turn1 tech discovery!))

Yeah, you can get a slight exploration bonus. I was hoping that people wouldn't bother placing their city but I don't really care either way. The main objective right now is to check connectivity and make sure all the game settings are correct.

Why do we have a server password? All it does it takes 5 seconds out of our life every time we log in, as all civs are pw protected anwyays it doesn't offer any extra protection!

... and I'm with oyzar.

The two most pumping dominator players together? Oh well, I guess that's random selection for ya.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups

Thanks guys...we now know what all the teams are.

Looks like 12 of the 18 people were able to do their test login so far. Since I haven't heard anything about game settings being incorrect I'll assume everything is ok.

The server will be restarted in about 12 hours. That's 9:00 pm eastern (GMT - 4).

If the teams want to come up with a team name then just let me know and I'll modify the player list accordingly. I can also check on creating team forums but if we can get away without doing that then I would just rather avoid the hassle.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups

I don't mean to be a pain with my questions and all, but would it be feasible to schedule a 2-3 hours where everyone would log in at the same time to do the first turns? It's not that the first turns are not interesting, but they are not much more than "move your scout/warrior, end your turn". It's especially true at that difficulty level. The techs are pretty long to research. If we could get 50-70 turns done right away, it would be very nice.

Is it even possible to schedule that for a 18 players game? Anyone has any experience in doing so? If I end up having to be the one being awake at 4am, so be it.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups

18, players scattered all over the world that seems highly unlikely, but we can try . We might get off 20 turns in 3 hours if we are lucky... Ofc that is if we don't run into technical issues(which we will).
