Can I have a bit more information please from both parties involved?
Based on what I see from CivStats, the login sequence in my timezone looks like:
Munro @ 9:02 am
Munro @ 10:31 am
Whiplash @ 10:31 am
Munro (temp) @ 11:16 am (finished turn)
Whiplash @ 4:46 pm (finished turn)
That's an awful lot of logins from both sides. While the potential for a double move is there it also appears evident that Monro was waiting to finish his turn and it looks like he might have had a sub login adding yet more complication. Both of you guys appeared to be on the same time @ 10:31 am yet Whiplash didn't finish his turn at that time?
What damage was done, and when, that you feel a reload is warranted?

In a diplo message Munro admitted to the double move. There is no sub, he used a modification of his name.
Civstats shows me logged in but not finishing my turn because I get booted out of the game when trying to connect with a peer in the game and have to try again later. I never intentionally join and leave without finishing the turn.

See your PMs...I'd prefer to work this out without a reload if possible. It doesn't sound like any combat took place.
Munro reminded me that the 10:31 logins took place because of some CivStats funkiness when I did my weekly server restart this morning. That simplifies things somewhat. The name change was to make sure the save file from his original login didn't get overwritten. If I need to do a reload I will do it from there.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
No combat took place. Munro did move a unit that was in combat range. Its still in range to the unit of Whips that I can see, and moved from a wooded tile to a wooded tile. But there may be a hill in one spot and not the other, I don't recall. Or whip could have a counterattack unit I can't see (it would have to be guerrilla promoted or something similar, but there are enough barbs its possible)
Honestly I could care less if it gets reloaded. However, if we are, the longer we wait, the more impact it has.
I'm not the host, but whether or not it's really necessary, it's a valid request. So unless whip withdraws it, I'd just get it over with.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
I have no idea why whiplash is asking for a reload. The only thing he could have done differently would have been to attack the moved unit in question which was in a good defensive position. It would have been a bad move.
So the only justification for that reload is to make that bad move? No, please, don't reload.
Unless whiplash is coming back with a good reason, I'd say no reload.
BTW, when such a double move happen, do we revert to the old turn order right away (resulting in a double move for whiplash right away), or do we keep the newly defined order?

Apparently a Worker was lost due to the double move.
Since there was going to be quite a few people affected regardless, I went ahead and took the simpler route and restored to the start of 900 BC.
How a double move gets resolved is up to the people involved. By default I would expect a new turn order to result if the two are not talking to each other. This is all based on the assumption that the double move was intentional and unavoidable.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Whiplash. You are supposed to be moving first. Game was reloaded almost 12 hours ago to allow you to do that, but you have not. You took turns in at least 3 other games about 3 hours ago, but not this one.
Please move so Munro can. I'm going to be forced to move before you anyway (in about 1 hour), as this is my last chance before I go to work. None of my units are in contact with yours, so it shouldn't make any difference at all.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Looks like a lot of people might miss their turn because of this shortened timer... Reloading in the middle of the turn is no really simple if people aren't following this thread...

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Why is game paused? And what is the plan for proceeding?
I am dealing with barbs atm so missing this turn would really suck for me.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
You need to kick out Munro since he has paused the game and now I cannot get in. He should either play his turn or get out.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Why would booting munro help? Just unpause the game yourself pressing the pause button.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Thanks. I thought it was only the person who paused it could un-pause it. I have no played my turn, but it means the DV will miss his.

The game was not reloaded in the middle of a turn. I went to the start of 900 BC so it was a full 24+ hours.
I see from CivStats that da_Vinci was able to log in so hopefully this whole pausing the game issue didn't cause any problems. I'll tell everyone here what I told Munro privately...please don't ever pause the game.

Re: The Terrible Twos - Server Problems
Seeing as he didn't know how to unpause the game when he logged out I'm pretty sure it has caused problems.
