ACTF: Server Tests
This topic is for the A City Too Far game that is starting up shortly.
I'd like all players to please go through the following and reply to this message with your results. Players who do not do this before the game starts will be removed from the player list. Note that the connection instructions below will remain the same for the actual game so we are doing this to ensure as smooth a start as possible.
1. Connect to the TG TS2 server and find the Civilization 4 channel. If you are a new TG member, reference the Teamspeak instructions.
2. Update Hamachi to the latest version and then connect to the network at:
Join Network: Civ4-ACTF
Password: tgmd6
3. With Hamachi running and connected to the Civ4-ACTF network, connect to the test game server via Civ 4 Warlords Direct IP Connection:
Network Address: 5.134.244.58
Password: tgmd6
Pick any nation (no password please) and make sure you can log in without any problems.
4. Shut down Hamachi and connect to the test game server with the following information:
Network Address: tgciv4.no-ip.org
Password: tgmd6
Pick any nation (no password please) and make sure you can log in without any problems.
Thanks!

Re: ACTF: Server Tests
I can get in and play, but I got this message when I log in: 'Version of our game files do not match our hosts'

Re: ACTF: Server Tests
Are you running stock 2.13 for Warlords? On CivFanatics I had read about some people using some unofficial patches but those seemed to be more geared towards BTS. In any case, if it doesn't stop you from playing your turns then you should be ok.
I remember getting a similar error on the last Warlords game I played online (Fosse was hosting it) and I know for sure I hadn't changed anything during that time so go figure. It never did cause any apparent problems.

Re: ACTF: Server Tests
Or maybe I should finally buy a DVD-player. :-).
Just remembered. In our network we have only one computer with DVD, and that's not mine :-( . So I have installed the game through the network, and to play I need a no CD-crack. So maybe that's the problem
But I can't promiss I will find someone who wants to install the DVD-player before the game starts.

Re: ACTF: Server Tests
I'm also had a version error when I logged in to test the server. I ignored the warning anyway and managed to enter the game. I think this is because I used a no-cd crack. I'll test again when I get my warlords DVD back from my friend sometime this week. It is however disappointing to note that I would have to constantly switch from BTS to warlords DVDs.

Re: ACTF: Server Tests
Just as an FYI, I use a no-cd .exe as well and didn't get any kind of error message. If it's letting you guys in to play the game then as I mentioned before I wouldn't worry about it. It doesn't seem to be a server side problem so I'm not going to re-install unless it becomes an issue.
Great! Thanks!
