Yep, that's pretty major. I'm kind of surprised namliaM would do a double move so quickly like that if the consequences were so large. I'll assume it was unavoidable even with 15 hours or so left on the timer.
I'm going to hold off for a bit before requesting the restart for this turn though. I'd really like CivStats to be up and running properly or it will just cause confusion for everyone.
Make sure he gets the time to take his turn, he took it around when I've seen him normally taking turns - I believe he's in Europe and would already be in bed now, thinking the turn was taken normally in sequence?
And back to your double turn comment about me - IF there was a particular situation where a gifted unit could be useful as a defender, I would respect the double move rules. But that has not been an issue so far. And as I mentioned, that particular turn I didn't move the previous turn because I just missed the turn flipping so it wasn't a double move anyway.

Eh? I didnt go out of turn or not conciously anyway.... I move ~10 PM my time every day?? Sometimes failing to do so
I know I didnt check for Elkad's absence, but doubt that results would have been totaly different, unless he intends to withdraw now that he knows what will happen.
Offcourse some rolls are likely to go different
I would object to the reload, but fear that I did (even if unintentional) break the rule.
I appologize to everyone for doing so... causing the reload.
Edit: No reload has been done yet?
Edit2: IMHO I didnot break the spirit of the rule but did break the letter of the rule. If you deside a Re-load is what is needed, I will obide by that decision.
I had been taking my turn after work, before bed. But every day the new turn came later than before. Yesterday I had a very long day. I took my turn in 2 other games when I got home, but this game had not changed turns yet. I was very tired, so I went to bed. When I woke up, you had moved before me.
As to the game. Yes, I intend to move my troops. I have had that intention for several turns, I was just delaying while you wasted time bombarding culture on a city I have no plans to defend. It should have reached 2% on your prior turn, and your stack outnumbers mine badly. It's obviously time to go.
Edit: And its bedtime again.. If the turn isn't reloaded very shortly, I'll be asleep
It is now a new turn. I take it there is no point playing it?

I also sent a PM on this and I think by default it sends you an email? In any case, if they aren't checking in then a good case of confusion might be coming their way.
I'm not sure I think it's right to stop the game for days just because someone was unable to log in once.
I'm in a war. I didn't "miss" my turn. 8hr into the turn I was double-moved, just minutes before I logged in myself. It was probably an accident, but the rules say "no double moves". If we had direct access to the server, it could have been rolled back about 30 minutes and fixed. Unfortunately thats not the case.
I'm sorry to hold up the game (I'd like to be playing too), but I don't think its fair to expect me to be eliminated by a rule violation either.

I completely agree but has been pointed out we are trying to avoid a double move here which had large implications on the state of the game.
Since ACTF finished up, I'm contemplating moving TGS onto my home server as opposed to starting up a new Pitboss game. Believe me, not having direct control of the server drives me crazy. Your patience during these outages is of course greatly appreciated.
Good idea Bernout. Waiting 3 days each time we need a TG Officer to do something with the server is less than optimal. Would you be willing to host it?
Eight months later I finally received the reports from three peer-reviews on my latest manuscript with the University of Toronto Press. This will be my third book with the same press and the second...

Rage makes a great case for using the VR as a place for training as a sniper. Virtual training rooms for training in virtual warfare.
This post is a great TG read:

Bravo Microsoft, you have now surpassed EA in poor decisions and once and for all seized the crown for the worst 'Reveal' ever. That EA were standing there on the stage with you when you did it was...
