We've swapped a few as well, for various reasons.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups
Now that statement wouldn't of course be motivated by a desire to encourage people to keep the game going would it?
Kind of like when you and Oyzar were both hammering on me hard on IMs trying to convince me that daV and Rusten were the real threat. Ya whatever. lol I'll give both of you guys extra points for your diplomacy skills.
If anyone else is running around with infantry, tanks and Marines at this point feel free to speak up. Oh yes, having about 50 cities between the two nations would also be a necessity at this point. If you can't meet the above criteria then you are just kidding yourselves that you have a chance of winning this thing.
Now that doesn't mean that we shouldn't keep playing just for the fun of it of course since winning isn't everything. Just want to keep things in perspective.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups
lol
It's seemed that way for quite some time! Like when the game decided to put Snarlin and I so far apart that sending reinforcements is painful. Or when Snarlin gets a barbarian event (6 Archers) early in the game. Somehow he managed to avoid getting knocked out but the early game impact was brutal due to all the military he had to build.

I would like to comment on the "split civs" also. That seemed to be a real problem for the teams it happened to. I would suggest in the future, that if this type of map script were to be used again, that a non partisan 3rd party be allowed to balance the map against this occurring. I know the only reason Arabia/Greece DoW'd us when they did was because it seemed like the only option they had because they could not reinforce one another at all before Galleons, not very fair IMO.
Random Events have no purpose in MP, IMO, but I think we went down that road already!

Yes. My team was also split until Astronomy and it certainly restricted options.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups
True, but you were also safe until Astronomy, at least.
Arabia (gitbliss at the time) was alone, on the same island/continent with Ronnie and me ... that was a loss cause from the beginning!

Well I wasn't but my neighbours never came for me

Fairly sure my ally had a galley link to your continent too. Well yours after you booted the Arabians off. But again you never came fortunately.
We were not isolated like the remaining Greek/Arabian Island. Just isolated from each other so we could not trade with or help each other.
We have plenty of Galleons now though. Before you get any funny ideas

It could very well have been the same stack! I'm a bit fuzzy on the details but I think it got within a couple of tiles of his capital and then went wandering off SW. I don't recall if he actually got into a battle with them at all. In any case, it was REALLY early. At the time I thought for sure he was a goner since he had only his capital.

Re: PTBS BTS: The Terrible Twos - Signups
We only have building bonuses on walls and forges(and wonders) not the easiest to use with city swaps. Though we do have bonus on settlers, so i haven't built as many as niklas of those...
