Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
I had planned to only play until tomorrow, however if pushed I can probably play the next 4-5turns through to Sunday/Monday. After that though, I can't guarantee any turnplay until Friday/Saturday 21st/22nd, and even then it'd be unreliable until 25th August.
I have PM'd AFSoccer as suggested, but perhaps the upgrade to 3.19 is in order. Has it been confirmed that the NoScore mod is OK with the switch, or will we need to updated that also?

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
AFSoccer has already updated to 3.19, so it looks like patching or kickin to AI are going to be my only two options. dV has offered me Peace (though there's some negotiating to do), so the AI option is more practical. Ideally though, we would move to 3.19 and I'd get a sub in.
I'll most likely be able to play until Sunday, after that I'm pretty-much gone.

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
Hmm ... Dreylin seems to believe he is negotiating from a position of strength, and obviously I disagree. We will see which of us is delusional ...
The main idea of peace was to prevent an AI in Dreylin's absence from doing something stupid (like a suicide invasion of me). I am willing to keep my troops out of Dreylin's borders if he has to go to AI, whether there is official peace or not.
If he gets a sub, then we can see whether war or peace makes more sense going forward.
And my dual install is done, so upgrade of the game to 3.19 is fine by me.

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
Well, it looks like upgrading to 3.19 is a bust. Therefore, we must remain at 3.17.
The updating of the NoScore mod was trivial...it was only one file that had changed. BUT...trying to load a FoW save file into a 3.19 Pitboss always gives me this error:
"The save file you have selected is protected to ensure that the assets in your mod folder have not been changed."
If I recall, this is the same kind of error you'd get if you tried to change the NoScore mod and then login into the FoW server.
If anyone wants to play with the new mod version, it is at:

Niklas...one thing occurred to me this morning. We could perhaps just use the original mod as is. I think there is only one block of code that is new from the patch in the CvInfoScreen.py file. You want to take a quick look at it and give me your opinion on whether we can do without it?

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
We could definitely use the old version of the python file. The only change relates to a bug fix with No Espionage games, it won't affect our game at all. Does that fix the LMA error on loading?

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
Well, its a patch or could be incorporated into a mod. So if it was merged with NoScore, you'd just have the one mod still. The changes would be part of the mod, so they would load at the same time as the mod.
So no, you wouldn't need a triple install..
Looks like a moot point though.

Re: Pitboss BTS: Fog of War - Signups
Server is now on 3.19. As mentioned, use the same NoScore mod.
If you need the 3.19 patch, it is at:

Also, if you know anyone who would like to be a sub and is now able to do so, please let me know.
