TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
I'm hoping to post the official signup for the game tomorrow (Sep 17). This topic is dedicated to the test server only.
Here's what you need to do...
1. Download the SUC319b mod which we will use for the game.
2. Extract the contents of the mod into:
Make sure you don't have 2 SUC319b directories when you are done! Underneath that SUC319b directory should be an "Assets" folder and SUC319b.ini file.[directory where you have Civ4 installed]\Beyond the Sword\Mods\SUC319b
3. Start up BTS with the SUC319b mod. It is useful to make a shortcut for this purpose. When I look at the properties for mine, I see:
Obviously "C:\GAMES\" is unique to my system...your install directory may differ."C:\GAMES\Civilization 4\Beyond the Sword\Civ4BeyondSword.exe" -mod="mods/SUC319b"
4. Connect to the test server: Multiplayer -> Direct IP Connection -> Network Address: tgciv4.no-ip.org
There is no password.
5. Pick any nation you like to experiment with. Please do not password protect the nation however if it prompts you for a password.
6. Report here if you were successful or had problems!

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
I downloaded and extracted the files to my MODS folder so there is 1 ini file and 1 assets file. When I tried to connect the game, it failed.

I don't see any SUC mod on my computer when I go ADVANCED -> LOAD A MOD even though I have it installed where my other mods are.
I'd post a pic of my mods directory, but i need 15 posts.

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
Oh, no I don't ... thought the folder would be automatically created if I unzipped the file.
So ... create new folder, renamed it SUC319, then cut and paste those two files ... I'll do that in a few hours.

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
The test server is now running the final version of the mod. It's the same name as before but with a "b" at the end of it. Please see the first message in this topic for the download link and instructions.
I highly recommend deleting the SUC319 mod that you installed originally.

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
i was able to connect to the server, but it said that the my version of the game files do not match the host's. Does this have something to do with the fact that I have BtS for mac?

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc Test Server
I consistently get a warning about files not matching the host, but since I've connected to many pitboss servers in the past I don't think it was a problem for me. An example for this would be the Civ Fanatics Demogame.
