Perhaps Kaleb is more experienced, but the post count is not reliable evidence regarding that question ...

I'm pretty much solo, but I don't mind - saves having to type lengthy strategy type messages every few turns. Not that advice hasn't been invaluable in the past.

A reminder to everyone that our city limit, as per the game format, is currently at 8.

When at least 1/2 of us reach 8 cities then the limit will be increased to 9. I think I have diplo capability with all but 1 nation and from what I can see we are nowhere near having 5 people at 8 cities but it is something to keep in mind at this point in the game.

Do captured cities count? I think the Spanish may have accidentally taken a barb city to get to 9.

Yes, captured cities count and yes, I noticed the Spain situation as well and talked to Elkad. Not sure what the solution is but that disparity needs to be addressed.

That's probably a very good idea. My understanding was that it was a Barbarian city that put Spain over the limit so it should have been razed or left alone to start with.
