Cool. I've not played with Kemal before so I don't really know if he's a beginner or in fact a civ ninja. Just wanted to check before I do too much damage

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc - Signups -> Oct 1
Hi Everyone,
Sorry for not dropping in to say hello sooner; I can be a bit slack at times.
Just wanted to say that we've really enjoyed these first few turns and look forward to a good game with the lot of you. Hopefully we won't get eaten alive TOO soon. Oh and for the record, while I may be living in New Zealand I'm originally from the States! Wtb and Vrtigo are the kiwis though.

how long should I wait for Kemal to do the Greek turn? I'll need to play my turn in about 6 hours from now

As a general rule of thumb please wait as long as possible without risking missing your turn. At minimum we try to give the other person at least 1/2 the timer to do their turn.
If the turn order does switch then make sure to PM the person to decide how to proceed; i.e. whether the new turn order will continue or if the other person does a back to back to restore the original order.

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc - Signups -> Oct 1
Sure, You´re reading my mind.
Anyway, civilization IS a war game. I was indeed surprised by Mayas´ attack, the Greek nation is enraged, however, Kemal as a player does not feel offended at all.
Besides, sorry for my weird "time-management" lately, I was simply afraid that Maya is going to abuse the turns order and make two consecutive moves at the "right" time (please do not get offended, it stems from my experience from other online games (like travian for instance)). So now I understand, that, until a change has to be done, in each turn I will make moves first ad Mayan players shall go second. Thus I appologize and go click the finishing of my turn...

Don't worry, I'll respect the turn order if you do.
Oh and surely a good attack is always one that takes you by surprise, no?

Funny speaking of surprise attacks considering what happened next... how not to do it

Btw i've lost track of who is playing first in my war as Kemal has missed a couple of turns and played late, so perhaps it's easier if I just go first??

Re: TG BTS: PitSuc - Signups -> Oct 1
You should now let him go first this turn if that wasn't the turn order already. And as with anyone moving last in the turn, give him as much time as you possibly can without risking missing your turn. And if all of this results in you performing a double move then that's fine...it happens.
