I think if you want backstab, brokering would need to be on if tech trading is on at all. Seems to me that no brokering makes it harder to reign in a tech leader, without making it harder to get that lead?

ah but you missed the earlier part of the game. it's only a relatively recent phenomena that we've been ahead tech wise! Quite surprised I've made it as far as I have. When I realised I had the 4 civs around me allied against me I thought I was going to be dead meat.

True enough, I missed the early stages. So maybe rather than balance, maybe what we really have there (or had, it can't last forever) is reversible imbalance (a scale swinging from side to side, rather than in stationary balance).

I didcn't know what this pitsuc319b actually does and I found this list:

* Custom deity difficulty level. AI bonuses have been removed.
* Barbarian events have been removed (although events are not active for this game).
* List of technologies popped from a Hut have been reduced.
* The TECH_COST_TOTAL_KNOWN_TEAM_MODIFIER modifier has been increased to 50.

Is this right i.e. all the changes made?

Yes, that is correct. It's basically the NoScore mod with the demographic changes and epic rate research removed and the catch up tech modifier added.

Does this MOD affect also to barb AI? I guess it does, since the amount and quality of barbs has seemed too low for Deity.

Nope. No changes have been made for the barbarians, other than preventing uprisings (which are off anyway since events are off).

Send those bear protectors over my way to help fend off the real barbarians that keep trying to invade my land. Only warriors so far but still a nuisance.
