That's a good idea pushing out to establish a border. That didn't work in Civ III because other players could just cross your border but now that borders can be kept closed I think I'll do that in my next game.

I used to do it in Civ III, although it was a lot harder for the same reasons you state. Although, it did seem easy to take over another city culturally in Civ III compared to Civ IV. In Civ III I would wrap my cities around theirs if they crossed my borders and eventually they would turn.

It's a very fun game.. I've been playing it quite a bit lately to get brushed up. I'm going to set up the ladder this week at some point so we can start getting some competition going.

would that be like the GOTM they have at Civfanatics? We could, all enter that with our TG names for more promotion... we'd use there GOTM, and enter there Ladder, but have a TG ladder here, so we know whos doing the best out of us?
