I could probably find a few hours on Sunday or Monday.... easiest for me would be Monday.

I also tend to play my turn when I first get up in the morning before work. That's when I have the pitboss email. I don't go to bed until midnight - 2am... and I still don't see the pitboss turn email.

The turn timer is set to 24 hours, but the timer actually takes around 25 hours. So everyday, the timer expires roughly an hour later every day.

I'd love to get a few hours in on this game, but my internet connection is sucking ass right now. Intermittant and laggy. It's been like this for a few days off and on now. I can make time from noon-ish to 3am on Sunday and Monday, if my connection is good, though.

This weekend is impossible for me. Spent yesterday picking up new windows for my house and getting the first one installed. (Doing new construction windows and NOT crappy replacement windows, so it's a little more involved). Today I have to pick up more supplies and also go to the in-laws house for something. Tomorrow I'm back to putting windows in and that will most likely take all day.

I'd like to try this out if you guys have room for a noob. Anytime this weekend would be fine. By the way, what do I need to do before showing up? I've only played single player so far, haven't tried the multiplayer yet.

Well, you can jump in and take over any of the AI civs. I don't think you need to do anything but join. Right now there's a timer set so that you have to make your turn every 24 hours. It's a pretty slow game and we've had a couple of folks drop out because of that, but I think it's going to pick up soon, especially if we all get together for a couple of hours this weekend and really make some turns.

I love those all-day Civ sessions where it's just you, the computer, and your buds from around the country trash-talking each other on TS and playing for six hours straight.

Even though it was just the one time.........

Let's pick a weekend and make it happen again!!! I'm so in. Suggestions?
