Well, I caved and bought the game (my will power could not resist Sloppy Joe's temptation). Hopefully I'll have time to get started this week or the next. Civilization III is my favorite game of all time, and apparently this is even better, so it's taking all of my will power to finish all of my work.

I love civ 4, but I've found that I simply don't have enough time to play a game or the attention span to play a game through saves. Sad face.

There is a new mode where you can start later in the game but there are also some very cool mods out there too that actually make games much quicker and more enjoyable.

Rhyes and Fall comes to mind.

For anyone who has BTS, I'll be starting up a Pitboss game with an accelerated start likely in September sometime. Just waiting for another patch before I get this thing going.

I was looking for a game I could play on my laptop without needing a mouse and this fits the bill. I bought the Civ IV/BtS bundle on steam.

My quesion is; does BtS automatically run through Civ IV or is it a seperate .exe? When I click on BtS in Steam I keep getting a message saying "the game is unavailable, try back later".

you need the original civ4 as well.

thanks, looks like there is something wrong with steam/BtS then. I'm still at work so hopefully it will ahve worked itself out by the time I get home.
