Re: The "Post Your Playbacks" Thread

Been playing a bit more online, so I thought I'd post some replays if anyone is interested in watching. After starting 0-2 in ranked 1v1's, I've won my last 3 in a row. Here's the last two, both on Angoville:

This one is a blowout, but shows how to quickly grab map control at the beginning of the map. I won the game really in the first 10 minutes with effective counters to his foolishly-placed MG's. It shows the strength of garrisoned rifles vs. garrisoned MG.

    Angoville Replay #1

The second one is a bit back and forth, but I still beat the guy by a decent margin. He tries a Stug spam and I respond with rifle spam + stickies before getting getting Shermans and then the 76mm gun upgrade.

    Angoville Replay #2

Edit- BTW, these are both on v. 1.4.

Me and evo got to play a 3v3. Our team lost, evo loosing first, then me, and then some other guy. They used a great tactic buy ccutting us off from movement.

Ugh, yeah we got killed but the people we played against were pretty good. The guy opposite of me did a really good job of wiring and tank trapping me in, and when I tried to assault the left side of the map I got whipped by a tier 2 smackdown. My Greyhound got pummeled by grens with shreks and my infantry got smoked out by a flammenwerfer half track. Then the guy across from me came at me with a pair of flakpanzers and a panther and that was all she wrote. I was so starved for resources I couldn't get anything out. Very frustrating, but my opponent did a great job of cutting me off early. You learn something every day I guess.

I need to learn all the best places to place wire and obstacles.

we were kicking ass at first, but then we were really getting pestered long enouygh for us to have not that much, and for them to bring in the nasty stuff.

Wow, an epic battle on Semois. It goes on for about an hour, with me unfortunately needing to go AFK in the last 2 minutes of the match because of a houseguest!! Not sure if it affected the outcome, but damn I came close a few times to coming back.

Re: The "Post Your Playbacks" Thread

This is not one of my own replays, but I thought it was so good I'd post it in this thread. It's a 2v2 on Rails & Metal that goes right down to the wire with some great use of Allied War Machine and excellent grenadier, stormtrooper, and tiger micro by the Axis side. This replay is a great example of teamwork on both sides.

    Link.

This is a replay in Semois. I had 50 kills, 6 losses, so dont download for entertainment. Its more educational than anything else. He wasnt a great player, but it may help axis players that dont know what to do when its reversed.

    Things to watch for:
    • barb wire/tank traps on left side cut him off, forcing him to go through church area
    • MG in church. It takes, usually, 3 nades to kill an MG in that. With volks support, goodluck to any rifleman
    • Grens in building with shreks are deadly vs light vehicles
    • Mines on main road. You are GAURANTEED that it will hurt or kill something during the coures of a semois match
    • Inspired assault kicks anus. Holy balls there were a lot of dead rifleman
    • Engy in halftracks are great. If it takes damage, just get out and repair
    • Croc being raped

Just finished a game with InfernoBLT
    - It was a 2v2, we were down most of the game but we made a brilliant comback in the last 15mins. We were @ 60 tickets remaining and the enemy at ~400. we capped some points and held them until we won. Excellent show of teamwork and strategy.

Re: The "Post Your Playbacks" Thread

I had another game with mroczny today. I used the same strategy as axis in Angoville reversed as i did last time. He also did the same, going BAR rifleman and airborne. This time, however, i cut him off from fuel so badly in the first ~20 minutes of the game that he never actually built a Sherman. Lots of MG and AT gun flankage throughout.

Its about 40 minutes long, tons of action. In fact, 340 deaths between the both of us. One warning though, there is some profanity. But thats just what comes with a replay from me

Re: The "Post Your Playbacks" Thread

OPs should mostly be used on high fuel points, and only on high munitions points if you have excess manpower (generally mid-late game). In semois you should ALWAYS OP your close medium fuel, and in angoville it can help if you feel its the only way to keep up with your enemy or get fuel quickly in case you were blocked off from it early. Also good for denying the enemy the fuel in angoville. If your enemy builds an OP on the high fuel point, you should immediately make a flame pioneer and either destroy it or cut it off (or both).

Bunkers are very cheap and very worth it if used right. If i start as axis on the south in angoville, i cap the left side. I then put a bunker with an MG right next to the VP point. This covers the high fuel point AND the strategic point, the two most important points on the left side. This allows you to shift the rest of your army, at least in the early game, to the right side. If they send enough to the left to take away munitions, it isnt too big a deal because there are less of their units defending their all important fuel.
