Greetings fellow Tactical Gamers, I bring to you news from Stalingrad!
The team at
Tripwire Interactive (TWI) have been busy squashing bugs, tweaking the gameplay and UI, and developing new content since the less-than-stellar launch of RO2, back in the fall of 2011. They've even gone back to their MOD team roots and have a long running open beta, allowing owners of the game to test everything that was being tweaked. From ballistics and client side hit detection, to Tank AI and the new, free map: Mamayev Kurgan. Which, by the way, features both close quarters combat and long range engagements.
Now, the work is done and the testing is complete. On May 22nd [TW]Wilsonam announced that all current owners of RO2 will be getting a free content pack: The RO2 GotY Edition. Since the TWI team has worked so hard on making things "right" with RO2 and it's dedicated fans, I won't steal their thunder by copy/pasting their announcement (which can be found
