I have sent out PM's to people that I would like to have on my team.

Can we please ensure that there are positive or negative responses to the captains ASAP so that they may fill in the gaps if they need to?

Here's a writeup of what I see as the possible scenarios for a given round. Please note the ones with ???'s after.

DE : Bomb planted, defused. CT's get 3+2= 5 pts
DE : Bomb not planted, all CT's killed. T's get 2 pts
DE : Bomb not planted, all T's killed or timer runs out. CT's get 2 pts (why not give CTs credit for objective?)

CS : No hosties rescued, all CT's dead or timer runs out. T's get 4+3= 7 pts
CS : No hosties rescued, all T's dead. CT's get 3 pts (why not give CTs credit for objective?)
CS : All hosties rescued. CT's get 4+3= 7 pts
CS : (x) hosties rescued, (y) hosties not rescued. CT's get (x) pts, T's get (y)+3 pts

CS : 1 hostie rescued, 3 hosties killed by T, timer runs out. ???
CS : 1 hostie rescued, 3 hosties killed by CT, timer runs out. ???
CS : 2 hosties rescued, 1 killed by T, 1 killed by CT, timer runs out. ???
CS : 2 hosties killed by CTs, 2 hosties killed by Ts, timer runs out. ???
CS : All hosties killed by Ts, timer runs out. ???
CS : All hosties killed by CTs, timer runs out. ???
Are the CS maps deliberately worth more points?

Curious how the the team captions go through the list as I had expected some kind of draft to parcel the players between the active captains. To my surprise I nave more than one to select from.

Its not a deliberate thing...but here is how I justify it:
Hostage maps USUALLY end like this: CTs rescue first set. CTs die or Ts die.
Thats 5 points. What rarely happens is CTs rescuing all the hostages. Or really shouldnt. Now, that being said, Hopefully the CTs will be defusing or the Ts exploding once a round. Thats about 5 points.

What it comes down to is that everyone will have an equal chance to gain points by completing their objective.

I see your ??? and give you: points are already shown for killed hostages. If no one wins a round, then no one gets any points.

to reiterate: DONT KILL HOSTAGES.

On DE maps, the CTs primary objective is to prevent the bomb from being planted in th efirst place. Shouldn't CTs get extra points if the Ts aren't able to get the bomb planted? Or maybe points for killing the bomber and securing the downed bomb, but no points if the bomb is picked up after it goes down?

The points system on cs maps kind of rules out maps like cs_italy_tatick because on a map like tatick there is really no way for a CT to rescue hostages without killing all terrorists.

Also has there been any word on what maps might be in this?

If you play 10 rounds there might be a rescue. Theres your score. Doesn't have to be a huge score but it can help you beat the opposite team by large or small. You can save hostages on Italy.

I rescued about 10 hostages on italy_tactik lastnight. twice I almost had all four out. Its possible. And like spar said, every point will help.

The maps will be announced 1 week at a time.
