How do i fix Microphone ?

My Mic was working before i installed a sound card.

Have you checked the master volume settings in Windows to see if your mic volume was turned all the way down after the new card was installed?

Ensure the recording device is correct and that the volume is set. The in-game test feature should let you confirm when it is working.

If its a creative labs card, make sure the 'what you hear' setting is turned up. Its separate from mic volume.

graphics card is a creative labs sb sudio
microphone was working before i installed this

how do i get to the master audio settings ? i think its something simple

should be in control panel, if not check the audio software.

Also, make sure you're plugging your mic into your new input and not the mobo input. onboard audio should be disabled if you installed ur new card correctly. Seems simple, but sometimes you just plug things in where you're used to... you have no idea how many people install new video cards then plug the monitor into the on board video.
