Strictly tactical? What kind of a question is that? Ben and I make it tactical, you guys will too.
Real maps please, none of this texture stuff. It works for CSS but DoDs needs the environment.

Not EVERYONE likes pure tactics, 24/7. I sure do enjoy trying to turn any situation into a winable (?) one through the use of coms and the like, but that doesnt make it pure tactics. You could use coms in any DM server and smoke the hell outta the oposition doing so, but that doesnt make the overall game tactical in the sense that most assume it to be. This can be manipulated either way, and I have a bad headache and its 3 AM. Now that i think of it...that was a dumb question, but i still KINDA stick to my point...i guess.
Anyway!
Me and my bud whistler were tearing up a pub today on DoD. We had some good fun, but when there are 14 other idiots on your team randomly TKing and using no coms and having upside-down questionmarks in their names, it isnt the full experience that most of us here at TG would appreciate. I think we need to get a big group of TGers and go invade some enemy territory. Id love to get something set up, even one night of carnage would suffice.

Well, if there's enough interest, maybe TG could get a server... Not that I have DoD; just making a point from the resonses I have seen in this thread.

You know what; maybe we could put DoD:S on the Source Mods server for a little bit. But it would have to end on Nov. 30, cuz that's when Empires 2.0 is coming out, and the Source Mods server IS going to host Empires when it comes out.

Like I mentioned in the other thread, I'm always on my units primary server (209.40.101.118:27015). We utilize a realism mod that adds fade to black, weapon restrictions, custom weapon loadouts and a few other things. It's a 29 person server (28 + 1 reserved), custom maps on requrest 6pm-12am mon-thur and all day fri-sun). I wouldn't say its the server modifications that I enjoy so much as the teamwork, so stop by and just mention to anyone with a [28th ID] tag that Edwards directed you there. The 28th Infantry Division has been around for almost 5 years so I can confidently say our servers are well run.
