I'd rather spend $5 on adapter cables to use the mic on my relatively high quality headset that I already own, then spend $25 on a new lower quality setup.

It has the ability to be plugged into the computer a few different ways, currently I have it plugged in using the digital input. I could use the included alternate extension and plug the headset in using your standard 4/5 surround sound cords; this would allow me to us the headset with microphone on PC right out of the box. Unfortunately this method would also degrade the sound quality because it bypasses the headset's included amplifier/ audio processor instead relying on your sound card to do this work (my sound card sucks). The digital input allows me to hear audio in full fidelity. Another reason for using the digital input is that how the mini amplifier is set up by using the digital for PC, and the optical input for my 360 is that I can quickly alternate the sound output between them with the flick of a switch. If I were using the 4/5 cord setup I would have to climb under my desk and change cords around every time I wanted to switch the audio between my 360 and my PC. Once the cords for my microphone arrive I can finally have my audio setup right. I hope to talk to you guys soon.
