help with an error for CS:S please!

i keep getting kicked out of the blue then an error sign comes up "failed to lock vertex buffer in CMeshDX8::Lock Vertex Buffer" please help if you know what this is.........Thanks

I get this too everynow and then I duno what it means.

I get this sometimes too but only on one of computers not on the other.

Maybe has something to do with you dx level? not really sure though. see the part that I bolded I think that might have something to do with it.
