Re: Do you own a gun?

SKS
Chinese Hunter
Mini-14
..and a .22 that is in need of work.
Looking into a pistol and a conceal permit.
I am big on my 2nd amendment rights, member of the NRA and read Freedom First.
While all of that may or may not sound cool, I think I am more into the concept then getting really active and involved. I have not shot any of my weapons in more then a year. I am at the point where I only shoot my gun at work when they make me. But dont let my complaicent attitude fool you. Put a weapon into my hand I can shoot...and shoot well.
If I am not mistaken, Cing is a crack shot as well.

Re: Do you own a gun?

I own a couple guns. Was trying to keep it minimal while the kids are in the house, but seeing that the next administration may not be as friendly to me buying certain ones I have picked up the pace of late.

I own:

Mossberg 500A with smooth bore and rifle barrel

Winchester SX3 (composite model) -that is a insane fast gun and the ducks do not stand a chance!

Ruger M77 .243

LMT MRP CQB 5.56 10.5 SBR- With Gemtech Suppressor

Kimber 1911 Dessert warrior - just bought last week in Vegas

LMT MRP CQB in 5.56 and 6.8 with a load of extras- Linked it, it is a larger picture

Shadowolf, in Houston, all you need is money. Show up, pick out the gun you want to rent, buy some ammo, pick out some targets to hang, let them hold on to your ID while you're shooting, and have fun! If it's your first time, make sure you tell them. They'll be glad to show you how to safely operate any of their guns, and they should drill the four basic safety rules into your head real quick.

Here is one of the most respected summaries of the only rules you need in order to be safe with a gun: http://www.thefiringline.com/Misc/safetyrules.html

Jeff, did you just say I'm on crack?

Re: Do you own a gun?

I have a Winchester .22 semi-auto and a Mossberg .410 bolt-action. The bolt action seems to be broken, along with the clip, so it's more of a single shot. To eject the empty shell, I have to open the bolt action and slam the butt of the gun on the ground.

Re: Do you own a gun?

I've never shot a gun and the closest thing I have is an airsoft weapon... I think we have a revolver somewhere, but it's probably never been used and we don't have any ammo. I think it was my granddad's..

What exactly is it about the next administration that worries you about gun rights?
Its not like they can take the 2nd ammendment away, right? That would be lame... itd be really scary if the only people in this country with guns was the government, they already abuse their power as it is.. and if they knew we didnt have guns then what?

Well, President Clinton's administration successfully banned guns that look scary. That ban had a sunset clause. Many of us are afraid that a Democrat controlled government will result in another ban, perhaps without a sunset...

Re: Do you own a gun?

I have a Glock 30. It shoots true and is pretty compact. Also you may try looking into a pump 12 gauge for extra security. Also, if you want a hand gun, the Air Force and Marines use Berreta 9mm... pretty good, glock has better durable... or, u could just get a tricked out M4a1 to just spray and pray with... hope this helps :-)
