That's some sort of stupid little program that turns every word into an ability to advertise. I'm not sure what you can do to get rid of it, but it pays to look through your startup programs/services in msconfig and add/remove programs for stuff you don't need.

I'm having the exact same problem. When did that start happening?

Re: Advertisement in forum

I googled to find out about the underlined word ads and found this page explaining how to suppress it:

http://www.zomgstuff.net/forum/showthread.php?t=9483

Here's a company that supplies this stuff:

http://www.vibrantmedia.com/webpublishers/faq.asp

This is exactly the kind of stuff that NoScript blocks, because it doesn't let JavaScript through from random sites until you approve it.

But if it were a program, wouldn't it do it on all forums? It's only happening on the TG ones...
But what do i know? XD

Oh, good. Because it's now happening to me!

(My regular forum browsing machine has NoScript, but I hadn't gotten around to putting it on my game box, which I normally only use for web browsing when I want to watch a video, as it has the good speakers.)

Re: Advertisement in forum

I was seeing Echotopic popups, which now go away when I install NoScript and allow TG but not tribalfusion. Here's a page on suppressing Echotopic:

Re: Advertisement in forum

If you use firefox, install NoScript, which allows you to choose which javascript scripts should be used. I installed it and the ads are gone
NoScript

Highly recommended.
