mouse problems (scroll)

hey guys just had my comp reformted. installed steam and cs:s installed my 5 button mouse driver. then went on and played and the scrolling to switch weapons worked great. got off the game went back on about 1hour later and my scroll downt work now. it doesnt work in the servers menu nor in the game. iv tryed configuring and even uninstalled and reinstalled steam and CSS but still wont work. any help? oh yeah my mouse works normal out of the game.
system:
3500amd
atiX1300pro
2 gig ram
windows xp

What mouse? My old logitech setup I had to join the game then hit my windows key then rebind 3 of my keys in the mouse setup area. Was a pain and I couldnt find a solution until the new drivers came out. So go get some new drivers

it a optical usb HP mouse. i just can figure out why it works for a couple games the very first time after the reformat then it just gives up lol
