On another note I did some brief research into the scoreboard/tab thing. I cant make heads or tails of anything that was said but perhaps one of you with more knowledge in modding can. Heres the link to the thread that I started on some modding forums.

Back to this wonderful knife topic I started. Still going to defend my point of a silent knife. Minus the fact that combat knives are still general issue to most branches of the military (almost positive here may be wrong) for a variety of reasons. It makes sense that they would still have practical uses in modern combat. Such as being a reletively silent way to kill someone who is unaware of your presence. Another thing is the sound of pulling your knife is completely unrealistic, (Not what this server is shooting for i believe) Since when does metal coming out of a leather sheath make a metal on metal sound. I dont see anyway that you can argue that pulling a knife isnt almost completly silent.

This also enforces my point of a one hit kill (Which i can also understand why it shouldnt be but id like to see it tested so im advocating it) If someone doesnt know you are directly behind them I see absolutly no reason why with a 8 inch blade you shouldnt beable to kill someone with one strike. Put your hand around there mouth slit there throat take your pick there are many fatal knife strikes. No the animation in Counter-Strike does not show something that intricate but one could assume that if in a real situation your not just going to slash at someones back.

What style are you talking about here, please elaborate.

And on a final note I’m not trying to start an argument here so if you’re going to comment please debate the topic don’t flame it.

I think Vulcan means we don't need people rushing after people trying to get a knife kill, it endangers you and through that it endagers whatever your objective is, and is completely unrealistic. Realistcly the knife would only be used for silent and close quarter kills, not whenever you see an enemy not looking your way.

If you're sitting in a dark corner waiting for someone to walk by and not notice you then you aren't supporting your team or the objective. Knives are used in a last resort situation where you've run out of bullets, teammates and the objective is at risk and you have no other option. That hardly ever happens and it's typically not in a stealth manner.

I have to agree with Vulcan here, knifes should only be used as a last resort. If you have a headshot on someone, take it. Don't put yourself in danger when you pull out your knife for the knife sound. This should only be used as a last resort for when you are completely empty.

I also have to agree that pulling the knife out of a leather(anything but metal im sure) sheath and the sound it makes is completely unrealistic.
