Hmm.. you know what now that Tritone meantions it you could have something like that to have ramdamized paths as well like that map umm I forgot whats it called the one with the green, red door... something like that you could make paths that close and open every round so this way it makes it more challenging.

Re: I AM MAKING A MAP - with your input.

I was thinking that instead of every CT spawning outside of the building, how about they spawn in a seperate small room with a bunch of teleports(obviously, this is not realistic but hear me out) and each of these leads to a certain area around the building, maybe one would lead to the roof, another near a vent entrance, etc. It might be hard to balance, but I think it would give a more realistic feel. Also, if you add some randomized areas that might randomly block/hinder some of the entrances, it would end up in a more realistic scenario: you know the basic layout of the map, but you don't know the details, if there is debris blocking one way or not.

About the power thing, how about it can only be used once and it only lasts for a while? It could last around a minute, maybe a bit more, to allow CT's actuallymake use of it but it wouldn't end up dark for the whole time. Maybe it could have some unwanted effects too, like locking certain ways for the remainder of the black out?

It's a realism server bud. I think that the CT's should spawn outside, and if they want roof access then have a rope ladder going up, or something like that. Also I just though of something, If the CT's spawn out on the street, what's to stop them from just rushing in at the beginning of the round. I think that T spawns should be in multiple areas of the bank, for one; the entrance room. make it so that the CT's can't just rush right in there.

Yeah it would be nice to just cut the power for maybe a minute for once a round .Good idea if thats possible.

Re: I AM MAKING A MAP - with your input.

I realize it's a realism server. However, if this were a completely realistic situation, the CT side would have, I don't know, a couple of dozens of snipers just waiting for a T to poke his head out, half of the police force and a few helicopters with them. There's no point in that, too much realism sucks. But I understand that a CT team would have the possibility of choosing their method of entry according to the whatever strategy they are using, instead of trying to go in through the front door. I personally think it would add a lot to the map. But that's just me

About cutting the power...

There needs to be a trade off in order to keep it from being a distinct advantage for CTs. For example, bring up emergency backup red lights, they may be dimmer, but there is still light, so NV is not a complete need and also make where the power is cut an area that can be contested by T's, so that it can either be protected, or if power is cut, T's will know where CTs are and can counter act.

Something like that

Re: I AM MAKING A MAP - with your input.

yeah im looking into how I can make the cutting power thing happen.

CTs will spawn outside, far enough away that the Ts can set up and expect the CTs from every possible way.

Let me compile my map real quick and take a screenshot for you guys.. Im close to finalizing the bank lobby. No junk like desks and stuff yet, but walls and main lighting are almost done.

Okay, check these two photos out. One is of the vestibule which is just a room before you enter the main room. It has an elevator and small coffee stand on the left, and a hallway on the right. Directly in front is the inside of the bank. The other picture is of inside the bank, the right side will have desks and cubicle like stuff, on the left is a long reception/money desk where you do your banking with a teller.

Oh and by the way, not that it matters but i have to run a Tf2 configuration for me to be able to use Hammer right now, when I load the CSS configuration it crashes a lot. So untill I fix that I have to do all my brushwork in tf2
