Re: Help the COD4 guys with the Game Play PLEASE!~!!!!!!!!!!
hijacked!?!?
Anyways for tactics it would be hard to try to compare source which is more of a small counter terrorism unit to a game which is mostly about a full out war. For the times I played on the TG server for cod 4 it was more about fast thinking and reacting then coming up with a strategy. Other then that Bubba is right that the people do make the game. If no one communicates then there is no point playing on the TG server. There are no winners in war.

I love CoD 4 but I don't think it's possible to get a PCS-like game going on over there. The maps are just too small. Kind of like putting a bunch of soldiers into a empty box and telling them to fight tactically.

Re: Help the COD4 guys with the Game Play PLEASE!~!!!!!!!!!!
Wow I just downloaded COD 4 and I love my connection. It said it would take over 5 hours to download. So I just figured ok thats cool and started it. 2.0 mb was the download speed
I can't believe they let me download at that speed and that that was possible
I love my connection
Its just cable too. I think it took less then 30 minutes lol
Wow so its downloaded and I goto play and the preparing to launch tab is just steady sitting in the middle of my screen. Looks like Steam is not gonna let me play COD 4. I had issues before I uninstalled it last time I was playing it damot!

I had an issue with Frontlines: Fuel of war. The game just didn't want to start, but those issues are gone now. Steam is handy, and they have bargains every so often that really are great. Right now, you could get Red Orchestra for $5, which is well worth the money even if you don't play the game very often at all.

Re: Help the COD4 guys with the Game Play PLEASE!~!!!!!!!!!!
been on there yesterday but had lil prob with mic but yes , they dont plan alot and the maps are really small , so its easier to outrun and push the other team , main thing is that you always have probs with those extreme nading guys ... should try to make less nades 1 sniper on the team 1 heavy ... so on like a real squad with be
should get you far !

Re: Help the COD4 guys with the Game Play PLEASE!~!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not a huge fan of this thread:
The COD4 guys know how to plan. I've played with several during my time spent here, and the ones I haven't played with haven't depressed me to the point of requiring outside help nor playing elsewhere. If people aren't able to help, you need to help them. Guide them through it. Everyone starts off at a slow rate, and I'm still at that point for COD4. The admins are absolutely capable of enforcing the server and if you have any problems with players, you should report it through the proper channel. The tone of this thread is condescending and if I were the COD4 admin team, I'd take offense.
It works the same way as CSS: If you have a better idea, spout it off. People WILL follow.
EDIT: I forgot to mention that we have a much easier time planning a strategy because we have 45 seconds to do so. In COD4, that doesn't ring true and adjustments need to be made. People have to think on the fly.

Re: Help the COD4 guys with the Game Play PLEASE!~!!!!!!!!!!
I agree with Whistler. It is up to each of us as members of this community to help and teach others. It is not for the chosen few to take it upon themselves to be the savior of the server. The admin team is also the helping team when on the server. The hardcore server is as people have seen a fast paced server due to the maps. I will increase the planning time to see if that helps.
Try the TRM server. If you want a slowed down games with better maps and planning that is where to be. But then again people complain because they do not like the maps and die alot. Play the server and get to know the maps instead of complaining. The server runs 24/7 so there is no reason why you can not walk through them.
Bottom line, it is your server and you need to help make it the way you and everyone else would like it. So, say something and help others that do not know how we play. TEACH.
